IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND METHOD
An image forming apparatus employing an electrophotographic image forming unit and an inkjet image forming unit, thereby being capable of printing an image on each of a front surface and the back surface of a recording medium.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming portion, an oblique movement correcting portion including a first registration roller pair and a first moving portion, a reversing portion, and a re-feeding portion. The reversing portion includes a reversing roller pair and a second moving portion. The re-feeding portion includes a second registration roller pair. When an image is formed on a second surface of a sheet opposite from a first surface of the sheet, a side end position of the sheet is corrected by the second moving portion and oblique movement of the sheet is corrected, and then the side end position of the sheet is corrected again by the first moving means and the sheet is fed to the image forming portion.
FIXING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A fixing device includes: a heating section that heats in a non-contact manner a front surface of a recording medium; a feeding section that feeds the recording medium while causing the front surface to be opposed to the heating section; and a maintaining section that, in order to enable the recording medium to be fed by the feeding section while a rear surface that is opposite to the front surface, and that is in an image region where an unfixed-image is formed on the front surface is in a non-contact state, maintains the non-contact state.
Oil removing device and image forming apparatus
An oil removing device includes a first heating member that at an outer surface thereof contacts a non-image surface of a recording medium which is transported, and that heats the recording medium, a toner image that is formed by using liquid developer that contains volatile oil and toner being transferred to the recording medium; and a second heating member that is disposed on a downstream side of the first heating member in a transport direction, the second heating member contacting at an outer surface thereof the non-image surface of the recording medium and heating the recording medium. In the oil removing device, a non-contact region where the non-image surface of the recording medium does not contact the first heating member and the second heating member is provided between the first heating member and the second heating member.
DENSITY MODULATED AUTO-DUPLEXING
A method for fluid-density modulated auto-duplexing is disclosed. This method determines when a final swath of a printing operation on a surface of a media occurs within a predefined distal end portion of the media. An estimated media dry time after the final swath in the predefined distal end portion is determined to be greater than a predetermined time. The estimated dry time is capped to a predetermined minimum media dry time and a course of action for a feed mechanism is selected to reduce curling and cockling of the media. Furthermore, a non-transitory computer readable medium and a printer having fluid-density modulated auto-duplexing are also disclosed.
Image formation apparatus and image formation method
An image formation apparatus includes: a transferrer that forms a toner image on an image formation surface of paper; a fixer that fixes the toner image on the paper; a paper conveyor that conveys the paper between an upstream side of the transferrer and a downstream side of the fixer in a paper conveyance direction; and a paper pre-heater that heats, on the upstream side of the transferrer in the paper conveyance direction, the image formation surface of the paper.
Image forming apparatus for duplex operation using potential differences
In a configuration in which a voltage of polarity opposite to charging polarity of toner is applied to a conveyance guide, controlling deposition of toner on the conveyance guide has been difficult. When performing duplex image formation, a potential difference between a surface potential of a photoconductive drum charged by a charging roller and a potential of the conveyance guide is smaller during printing on the second surface than during printing on the first surface.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus conveys a sheet to a transferring position of an image of a transferrer and transfers the image onto the sheet. The Apparatus includes a swing roller, a detector and a hardware processor. The swing roller includes a pair of rollers which conveys the conveyed sheet toward the transferrer. The detector is disposed in a second side path at a side facing an image side of the sheet to detect a position of a side end of the sheet and image information of the image transferred on the sheet. The second side path is provided to form an image on a back side of the sheet or to overlay an image on a front side of the sheet. The hardware processor swings the swing roller based on a detection result of the detector and predetermined swing control information.
Method to control transfer of black and color toned images during combined simplex duplex printing
A method for controlling transfer of black and color toned images during combined simplex and duplex printing in an electrophotographic imaging device having either a plurality of movable color photoconductive drums or a plurality of moveable color transfer rolls.
