VALVE DEVICE
Valve device, in particular for an exhaust gas section of an internal combustion engine, includes a valve housing with an inlet and a outlet, a valve seat which is arranged between the inlet and the outlet and having a valve opening, closeable by a valve closing member pressed against the valve seat by a predetermined force, and a diaphragm acting on the valve closing member. A first control chamber is separated from a second control chamber by the diaphragm so that the valve is switched by a pressure difference between the first control chamber and second control chamber. For reliable opening even under adverse operating conditions, the diaphragm is connected to the valve closing member, at least over a partial range of a possible stroke of the valve closing member, via a gear mechanism to translate movement of the diaphragm into movement of the valve closing member at a lower speed.
FLOW CONTROL DEVICE WITH DRAIN CHECK
A flow control device including: a housing including a flow passage extending from an inlet, through the housing to an outlet; a hollow tube within the housing defining a tube passage included in the flow passage of the housing; a valve seat in the housing and disposed between the inlet to the flow passage and an inlet to the tube passage of the hollow tube; and a drain check shuttle within the housing and configured to move reciprocally with respect to both the housing and the hollow tube, wherein the drain check shuttle has: a first position within the housing at which the drain check shuttle abuts the valve seat, and closes a gap between the valve seat and the inlet to the hollow tube; and a second position displaced from the valve seat and which opens the gap.
Drain check in pressure regulator
A pressure regulator includes a housing having an inlet cap with an inlet flow passage and an outlet cap with an outlet flow passage. A plunger is reciprocally mounted in the housing. A stationary regulator valve seat is disposed between the inlet flow passage and an inlet to the plunger. A drain check shuttle is disposed in the inlet cap and positioned downstream of the regulator valve seat to prevent water from draining out of the regulator when an inlet water pressure is below a predetermined threshold.
VARIABLE VENTURI ASSIST PRESSURE REGULATOR
A pressure regulator includes a valve body that defines an inlet and an outlet for a fluid flow through the valve body, a poppet that is moveable within the valve body between an open position and a closed position to control the fluid flow from the inlet to the outlet, and a pressure regulating mechanism that controls a position of the poppet between the open and closed positions. The pressure regulating mechanism includes a diaphragm and a compression spring, and a force balance between the diaphragm and the compression spring determines the position of the poppet. The pressure regulating mechanism further includes a static pressure tap configured to apply a static pressure to the diaphragm, and a dynamic pressure tap configured to apply a dynamic pressure to the diaphragm. The dynamic pressure tap is located at an annular opening adjacent to the poppet, and an area of the annular opening varies with the position of the poppet to vary the dynamic pressure applied to the diaphragm.
Unit for the regulation or control of a fluid pressure
Disclosed is a method and a unit (10) for the regulation or control of a fluid pressure, having at least one housing section (13, 14) and a switching film (22) connected to the at least one housing section (13, 14) for switching at pressure differentials of 1 to 250 mbar, preferably from 1 to 100 mbar, relative to an ambient pressure acting on the switching film (22), and for the regulation, release or blocking of a flow of the fluid between an inlet (28) and a discharge (30) for the fluid. The switching film (22) is made out of a polymer material having fluorine and carbon. In this arrangement, a hole cross-section (40) of the at least one housing section (13, 14) is closed off by the switching film (22).
Regulator with convertible trim assembly
A regulator includes a body, a first cage positioned in the body, a diaphragm positioned within the body, and a second cage operatively connected to the diaphragm. The body has an inlet, an outlet, and a passage formed between the inlet and the outlet and the first cage is positioned adjacent the passage. The second cage moves with the diaphragm and is positionable on a first side of the diaphragm, opposite the first cage, or on a second side of the diaphragm such that the second cage is positioned within the first cage and is movable relative to the first cage.
Pressure-regulating valve with non-linear flow regulator
A pressure regulating valve for an inkjet printhead. The valve includes: a fluid flow path defined between a valve inlet and a valve outlet; an orifice positioned in the flow path; a movable valve member configured for regulating a fluid flow rate through the orifice; a regulator chamber having the valve outlet and including a diaphragm operatively connected to the valve member, such that movement of the diaphragm moves the valve member relative to the orifice; and a biasing mechanism for resiliently biasing the diaphragm away from the orifice. An outer surface of the valve member is non-linearly flared away from the diaphragm.
