At least one end of the axis component portion in an axial direction is made of a material that is harder than a material from which the tip component portion is made. The axis component portion includes a recessed hole and a fitting portion directly or indirectly fitted to a pen pressure detector. The tip component portion includes a tip portion protruding from the one end of the axis component portion in the axial direction, a coupling core portion disposed within the recessed hole and coupled to an inner wall surface of the recessed hole of the axis component portion, and a second ring-shaped end surface that contacts a first ring-shaped end surface of the axis component portion. The first ring-shaped end surface is covered by the second ring-shaped end surface.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR PERFORMING PLURALITY OF FUNCTIONS USING STYLUS PEN AND METHOD FOR OPERATING SAME
An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a communication circuitry, a camera, and a processor, wherein the processor may be configured to detect at least one of a first specific color or a first specific shape from at least one surface of the stylus pen, and execute a first specific function based on the detecting of the at least one of the first specific color or the first specific shape.
Power efficient stylus for an electronic device
Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for enabling a power efficient stylus for an electronic device are provided.
Information processing system, position indicator, and method of controlling movement of display object on display screen of information processing apparatus
An information processing system includes: an information processing apparatus; and a position indicator configured to input position information to the information processing apparatus. The position indicator includes: a first sensor configured to detect a movement amount of a fingertip of a user, a second sensor configured to detect a tilt of the position indicator, and a transmission section configured to transmit data indicative of the movement amount detected by the first sensor and of the tilt detected by the second sensor. The information processing apparatus includes: a reception section configured to receive the data transmitted from the position indicator, and a first processor configured to control a movement of a display object displayed on a display screen on the basis of the tilt and the movement amount indicated by the data received by the reception section.
Mobile terminal and method for controlling same
Disclosed is a watch-type mobile terminal that a user can wear on the user's wrist. The mobile terminal according to the present invention may comprise: a display unit configured to display information; a sensing unit configured to detect movement of the mobile terminal; a memory configured to store behavior pattern data of the user for each time slot; and a controller configured to generate the behavior pattern data on the basis of detection signals of the sensing unit, and recommend, on the basis of the behavior pattern data, a behavior that needs to be performed by the user if the time when a predetermined behavior is expected to occur is reached, or the occurrence of the predetermined behavior is not detected although the time when the predetermined behavior is expected to occur has passed.
SPURIOUS HAND SIGNAL REJECTION DURING STYLUS USE
Systems and methods for identifying spurious signals in capacitive touch sensors. In some examples, the technology may include a capacitive touch sensor having an input surface, a stylus configured to transmit a first electrical signal through its exterior surface based on a determination of an orientation of the stylus, and one or more processors configured to: identify a contact to a first area of the input surface based on one or more changes in electrical charge sensed in the first area, determine that the one or more changes in electrical charge sensed in the first area include the first electrical signal, and determine whether to identify the contact to the first area as spurious based on the determination that the one or more changes in electrical charge sensed in the first area include the first electrical signal.
Processor for controlling input by electronic pen and method performed by computer used in conjunction with electronic pen
Provided is a processing device for controlling input by an electronic pen. The electronic pen includes a side switch disposed on a side surface of the electronic pen and a device that obtains contact information indicating whether or not a pen tip of the electronic pen is in contact with a panel. The processing device includes a processor and a memory storing instructions which, when executed by the processor, cause the processing device to: obtain switch information indicating a depression state of the side switch, determine whether or not the pen tip is in contact with the panel based on the contact information, output the switch information when the pen tip is not determined to be in contact with the panel, and disable a value of the switch information when the pen tip is determined to be in contact with the panel.
SENSOR CONTROLLER, ACTIVE PEN, AND COMMUNICATION METHOD
A sensor controller, which is connected to sensor electrodes and detects positions of one or more active pens based on charge induced on the sensor electrodes, includes a processor and a memory. The memory stores instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the sensor controller to: detect an approach of one of the one or more active pens using the sensor electrode; pair with the one of the one or more active pens with the approach of the one of the one or more active pens detected and update pairing state information indicative of a pairing state of each of the one or more active pens that is paired with the sensor controller; and transmit the pairing state information from the sensor electrodes to the one or more active pens via an uplink signal used as a reference for time synchronization.
System and method for generating haptic feedback in stylus
In a stylus for a display device, the stylus includes: a bearing housing; a roller in the bearing housing; and a first actuator coupled to the bearing housing and configured to apply a pressure against the roller to modulate a friction between the stylus and the roller.
Touch screen stylus with force and/or angle sensing functionality
A handheld stylus for use with a display device may include a handheld body, a tip movably coupled to the body, and at least one capacitive sensor configured to detect movements of the tip relative to the body. The at least one capacitive sensor may comprise at least one first conductive element secured to or integral with the body, and at least one second conductive element secured to or integral with the movable tip. The tip may be arranged such that the at least one first conductive element and the at least one second conductive element are spaced apart from each other. The at least one capacitive sensor may be configured to detect changes in respective distances between the at least one first conductive element and the at least one second conductive element caused by movements of the tip relative to the body.
