Provided herein are hair fibers and methods of making and using the same. In one aspect, provided herein are hair fibers that comprise a core fiber (e.g., cellulosic core fiber), an outer coating, and a nourishing component. The nourishing component can be added to a hair fiber in a carrier vehicle comprising particles.

The present invention relates to a fiber for artificial hair having a hollow in a center of a fiber cross section. A ratio of an area of the hollow to an entire area of the fiber cross section is 5% to 50%. The fiber cross section has a flat multilobed shape, and the hollow has a first side and a second side that are inclined 70 to 110 degrees relative to a major axis of the fiber cross section. The present invention also relates to hair ornament products including the above fiber for artificial hair. Thus, the present invention provides a fiber for artificial hair having a favorable curl setting property when curling with a hair iron and a favorable combing property after curling with a hair iron, and hair ornament products including the same.

A fiber bundle for artificial hair contains two or more types of core-sheath conjugate fibers having different core-to-sheath area ratios. Each of the core-sheath conjugate fibers includes a core and a sheath, and the core-to-sheath area ratio is represented by the area ratio between the core and the sheath. In each of the core-sheath conjugate fibers, the core includes a polyester resin composition containing a polyester resin, and the sheath includes a polyamide resin composition containing a polyamide resin. The standard deviation of the ratios of the core cross-sectional area to the fiber cross-sectional area of the core-sheath conjugate fibers contained in the fiber bundle for artificial hair is 0.15 or more. The fiber bundle for artificial hair has touch and appearance similar to those of human hair, and have favorable curl setting properties and usage durability, and a hair ornament product including the same are provided.

Provided is a method for producing a fiber bundle for artificial hair. The method includes a first cutting process of cutting a first fiber strip obtained by arranging first fibers so that a cut part includes a first linear section extending linearly at an angle of >0 degrees and ?60 degrees, and a second linear section extending linearly at an angle of ?120 degrees relative to the first linear section, to form a first cut fiber strip; a second cutting process of cutting a second fiber strip obtained by arranging second fibers to form a second cut fiber strip; and a hackling process of gathering the first and second cut fiber strips in a bundle and hackling the bundle. A total length of the second cut fiber strip is shorter than a length of a shortest first fiber of the first cut fiber strip.

The present invention provides a configuration including at least two fiber groups and an attachment part having a plurality of annular parts. The two fiber groups spread at least in a first direction, where the attachment part extends in the first direction and is sandwiched between the two fiber groups and sewn onto the two fiber groups, and where the plurality of annular parts are exposed to an outside from between the two fiber groups.

The present invention relates to a knotting system and comprises one or more hair knotting apparatuses, installed along the feed direction of the thread, for knotting hair on a thread. The hair knotting apparatus comprises: an insertion groove into which one or more strands of hair are inserted; a hair insertion member having a pull-out hole on the bottom surface of the insertion groove; a hair pull-out member for taking hold and pulling out the hair, which has been inserted in the insertion groove, through the pull-out hole so as to be positioned past the thread from below, and forming a knotting hole as the thread and hair connect; a hair knotting member penetrating the knotting hole from bottom to top to be positioned above the thread; and a hair winding member for taking hold of both ends of the hair pulled out from the hair insertion member, and winding both ends of the hair while rotating around the hair knotting member past the thread from above, wherein the hair knotting member knots the hair on the thread by pulling both ends of the wound hair downward through the knotting hole.

The present specification discloses an improved artificial hair having a natural look and feel while minimizing tangling between individual strands of the artificial hair, along with associated methods of manufacture.

A fiber for artificial hair is constituted of a resin composition containing an aliphatic polyamide and inorganic particles, and in a particle size distribution of the inorganic particles measured by a laser diffraction method, a ratio (D.sub.50/D.sub.10) of D.sub.50, which is a particle size equivalent to a cumulative percentage of 50% based on volume, to D.sub.10, which is a particle size equivalent to a cumulative percentage of 10% based on volume, is 1.8 or more and 3.0 or less.
