Artificial hair fiber having shape memory and shape restoration function, artificial hair fiber having excellent flame resistance, and artificial hair fiber having low gloss appearance are provided. Provided is an artificial hair fiber including a resin composition including at least one polyamide, the artificial hair fiber satisfying at least one of constitutions (1) to (3): (1) the fiber has a modulus of elasticity of 2400 to 3000 N/mm.sup.2; (2) the polyamide has a weight average molecular weight Mw of 6.5×10.sup.4 to 15×10.sup.4 and the fiber has a modulus of elasticity of 500 to 15000 N/mm.sup.2; (3) the fiber has a modulus of elasticity of 500 to 15000 N/mm.sup.2 and the resin composition contains 5 to 20 parts by mass of fine particles with respect to 100 parts by mass of the polyamide.

An artificial hair fiber suppressed in formation of nodes is provided. An artificial hair fiber is structured with a fiber of drawn resin composition; wherein: when an initial tensile stress of undrawn fiber at 100° C. is taken as F0, and a tensile stress when drawn by 2.5 times is taken as F1, F1/F0 of an undrawn fiber obtained by spinning the resin composition is 1.2 or more.

Disclosed is a fiber for artificial hair containing a polycondensation-based polymer and a crosslinking agent. Also disclosed is a headdress article including the fiber for artificial hair.

In one or more embodiments, the present invention relates to a resin composition containing at least a polymer (A) and a polymer (B), in which the polymer (A) is a polymer that includes one or more monomers selected from the group consisting of acrylonitrile, vinyl halides, and vinylidene halides, the polymer (B) is a polymer that is soluble in benzyl alcohol, and the resin composition contains the polymer (A) in an amount of 70 parts by mass or more and 92.5 parts by mass or less, and the polymer (B) in an amount of 7.5 parts by mass or more and 30 parts by mass or less, where a total amount of the polymer (A) and the polymer (B) is 100 parts by mass. Provided are synthetic fibers that are easily dyeable with an acidic dye without requiring use of a special facility or heating to high temperatures.

A surface covering for use as a moss covering or patch of grass via application to a surface or substrate. The surface covering provides a decorative and durable and easily maintained surface covering. The covering is fabricated using groups of fibers, such as metallic, plastic, or other material fibers, e.g., stainless steel fibers or strands available commercially as steel wool or the like. The fibers or strands provide a core of a body of each blade or piece of the surface covering, which is useful to replicate a blade of grass or moss or to mimic a strand of hair. Each body of the strands further includes an outer layer or coating, which can be formed by painting, e.g., with an epoxy or other useful material that may be colored, the mesh of metal fibers to provide a durable body with a desired look and feel.

A fibre comprising a colour component comprising an unencapsulated liquid crystal contained in the cavity of a hollow polymeric sheath is provided. The sheath retains the colour component and additional materials may be included to provide a tailored aesthetic effect. The fibre is useful as an artificial hair product and for weaving or knitting into a fabric.

A fiber for artificial hair is constituted of a resin composition containing an aliphatic polyamide and inorganic particles, and in a particle size distribution of the inorganic particles measured by a laser diffraction method, a ratio (D.sub.50/D.sub.10) of D.sub.50, which is a particle size equivalent to a cumulative percentage of 50% based on volume, to D.sub.10, which is a particle size equivalent to a cumulative percentage of 10% based on volume, is 1.8 or more and 3.0 or less.

The present disclosure relates to a core-sheath conjugate fiber for artificial hair including a core part and a sheath part, wherein the core-sheath conjugate fiber for artificial hair is a colored fiber, a color difference between the core-sheath conjugate fiber for artificial hair and the core part is 3.0 or more, and a color difference between the core-sheath conjugate fiber for artificial hair and the sheath part is also 3.0 or more. Provided are a core-sheath conjugate fiber for artificial hair capable of realizing deep colors and having a good appearance close to that of human hair, a hair ornament product including the core-sheath conjugate fiber, and a production method.

The present disclosure relates to a core-sheath conjugate fiber for artificial hair including a core part and a sheath part. The core-sheath conjugate fiber for artificial hair has a flat multilobed cross sectional shape, and has a core-to-sheath area ratio of 2:8 to 9:1, and a viscosity ratio a/b between a melt viscosity a of a core part resin composition and a melt viscosity b of a sheath part resin composition is 2.0 or more and 7.0 or less. The present disclosure provides a core-sheath conjugate fiber for artificial hair having a touch close to that of human hair, excellent peel resistance at room temperature, and good combing property, a hair ornament product including the core sheath conjugate fiber, and a production method.

An artificial hair spinning nozzle includes a nozzle body having a spinning hole extending into the nozzle body. In a cross-sectional view, the spinning hole includes a core section formed at the center of the nozzle body, and three branch sections each formed to radially protrude in an arc shape from the core section at a predetermined angle. The arc shape is bent along one direction to form an outer contour of the spun artificial hair. The branch section includes a convex circular part protruding in a convex circular shape on the end side of the branch section, and a concave circular part recessed between adjacent branch sections in a concave circular sectional shape circumscribed to circles of the convex circular part and the core section.
