Image forming apparatus, method of controlling the same, and storage medium configured to accept a user operation for deleting a page form a print job, to delete a rendering command for that page, and to update identification information of the print job based on the deleted page
A printing apparatus predicts a processing time of rendering processing for each page of a print job, determines one or more pages for which page image data is to be generated in advance based on the predicted processing time, generates the page image data corresponding to the determined one or more pages, and stores correspondence information in association with the print job, the correspondence information associating the generated page image data with identification information identifying a location of a page. In response to accepting a user operation for deleting one or more specified pages from the print job, the printing apparatus deletes a rendering command for constructing the one or more specified pages from the print job, and updates the identification information included in the correspondence information based on the one or more specified pages.
IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM FOR EXECUTING CONFIDENTIAL PRINT JOB, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING METHOD
An image forming system includes a confirmation processing portion and first and second print controlling portions. The confirmation processing portion confirms one or more pages of a multiple-page document as one or more confidential print pages. The first print controlling portion, upon receiving an execution command for a confidential print job according to which the document including the confidential print pages is printed, prints one or more normal print pages that are pages to be printed according to the confidential print job that exclude the confidential print pages, and suspends printing of the confidential print pages. The second print controlling portion prints, when it is determined that the sender of the execution command for the confidential print job has arrived at the location where the image forming apparatus is installed, the confidential print pages among the pages to be printed according to the confidential print job.
Data connection printing
Example implementations relate to data connection printing. For example, a printing device may include a wireless data connection and a wired data connection. The printing device may include an engine controller including a processing resource and a memory resource coupled to the processing resource, where the memory resource stores instructions executable by the processing resource to determine whether a print job is received via the wireless data connection or the wired data connection and based on the determination, print the print job in a print mode corresponding to either the wireless data connection or the wired data connection.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS
The image processing apparatus includes an accepting unit, first and second storage units, and a controller. The first storage unit stores frequency order data for each language. The controller, using character image data in a font cache area, performs rasterization processing on PDL data. The controller sets first and second cache areas. The controller, based on frequency order data corresponding to a selected language, generates character image data in descending order of character use frequency. The controller has the character image data generated based on frequency order data stored in the first cache area.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes an image data generator, a conveyor conveying a print medium, a determiner, a print medium cutter, a printing section, and a printing controller. The image data generator performs, sequentially on a page basis, conversion of print data corresponding to pages included in a print job into image data. The determiner determines a specified number of pages. The print medium cutter cuts the print medium into media for each of the specified number of pages. The printing section performs, on the print medium, printing of an image-data-based image. The printing controller causes the printing section to start the printing of the image corresponding at least to the specified number of pages, after the conversion of the print data into the image data corresponding at least to the specified number of pages and before that into the image data corresponding to all of pages.
Communication apparatus
A first communication apparatus including a control device configured to: receive a specific signal from a second communication apparatus; determine whether an inter-device distance between the communication apparatuses is equal to or smaller than a first distance; cause a server to supply printing data to a printer when the inter-device distance is equal to or smaller than the first distance; again receive the specific signal from the second communication apparatus; determine whether the inter-device distance is equal to or smaller than a second distance that is smaller than the first distance by using a second reception radio wave intensity of the again-received specific signal; and cause the printing execution unit to execute printing in accordance with the printing data when it is determined that the inter-device distance is equal to or smaller than the second distance.
JOB MANAGER, JOB MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, PRINTER, MULTIFUNCTION MACHINE, PRINTING SYSTEM, JOB MANAGEMENT METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A print manager includes a saving section that, if a job is received while the amount of free space for a job in a spooler area is less than a first predetermined value, saves the job to another device, a retrieving section that, in accordance with a predetermined polling interval, retrieves the job temporarily saved on the other device back to the job manager from the other device, and a job output section that outputs, to an executing device, the job retrieved back from the other device.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
The image forming apparatus comprises a determination unit configured to determine whether or not corresponding image data is cached in accordance with an instruction for generation of image data for the file stored in the memory, and an image processing unit configured to generate image data for the file in a case that the determination unit determines that the corresponding image data is not cached. The image forming apparatus controls to skip generation of image data by the image processing unit in a case that the instruction for generation of image data for the file is an instruction for an anticipation cache of image data for the file, and a file type of the file is a second type requiring, for generation of image data, a longer amount of time than a first type.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD
An image forming apparatus includes a cover that is opened to permit an operator to access an interior of the image forming apparatus to install a toner cartridge in the image forming apparatus, an image forming unit configured to form an image with toner supplied from the installed toner cartridge, and a control unit configured to execute a process to determine whether or not the installed toner cartridge is genuine upon detecting that the image forming apparatus is in a first state and upon detecting that the cover has been opened and then closed for a time period and the time period exceeds a threshold time period.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a communication device, a received data processing portion, a human detection sensor, a sensitivity setting portion, a rest control portion, and a return control portion. The sensitivity setting portion sets, based on content of the job data, the sensitivity of the human detection sensor for a time when specific devices including the received data processing portion are in a predetermined rest state. The rest control portion causes the specific devices to transit to the rest state when a predetermined rest condition is satisfied. The return control portion causes the specific devices to transit from the rest state to a return state when the human detection sensor detects a human body in the situation where the specific devices are in the rest state, wherein larger power is consumed in the return state than in the rest state.
