A controller of an image reading device is configured to obtain template data from an information processing device through a communication interface. The template data includes format data, first replacement data, and second replacement data. The controller replaces the first replacement data with identification data of the image recording device, replaces the second replacement data with detailed information, and generates transmission data containing the format data, the identification data, and the detailed information. The controller transmits the generated transmission data to the information processing device through the communication interface.

An image recording device includes a display panel, a cartridge mount, an information input interface, memory, and a controller. The controller obtains service provider information through the information input interface, stores the obtained service provider information in the memory, obtains first identification information or second identification information related to a cartridge mounted in the cartridge mount, sets an operation mode to a first mode in response to obtaining the first identification information, sets the operation mode to a second mode in response to obtaining the second identification information, causes the display panel to display a type of the cartridge in response to setting the operation mode to the first mode, and causes the display panel to display the service provider information in response to setting the operation mode to the second mode.

Examples disclosed herein relate to unlocking consumables of imaging devices. Example imaging devices include a lock to secure a consumable to the imaging device. A feedback engine of the imaging device may selectively generate a signal in response to an actuation event to control a component to indicate the consumable is secured. A lock control engine of the imaging device may determine if the actuation event is approved to unlock the consumable. A release engine of the imaging device may disengage the lock in response to approval of the actuation event.

A machine learning device includes a state variable acquiring section, a teaching data acquiring section, and a learned model generating section. The state variable acquiring section acquires, as state variables: feature information that is information regarding a feature of an actual printed matter on which printing has been actually performed by an image forming apparatus; medium information that is information regarding a print medium used in the actual printed matter; and first control information that is information regarding control performed when the actual printed matter has been outputted. An image forming apparatus includes a processor configured to: detect the presence or absence of a malfunction and opening and closing of a covering; and cause a display device to display information about a consumable such that a reset operation of a counter that is set regarding the consumable is receivable in a case where a predetermined malfunction does not occur, and a covering related to the consumable is opened and is subsequently closed.

The management system includes an image forming apparatus and a management apparatus that are communicatively connected. The image forming apparatus includes an obtainment unit that obtains data for items to which priorities are given, a first storage unit that stores the data, a transmission unit that transmits the data to the management apparatus, and an update unit that updates the priorities of the items according to a notification from the management apparatus. The management apparatus includes a second storage unit that stores data from the image forming apparatus, a determination unit that determines whether interpolation of defective data is possible for the items, a change unit that changes the priorities of the items according to possibility of the interpolation, and a notification unit that notifies of the priorities of the changed items.
