ADVERTISEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD OF PRINTER
An advertisement system and method of a printer is proposed. Particularly, customized advertisement content is displayed on a computing device interworked with the printer during a print waiting time, or the customized advertisement content for each user is output on a printout of an output device. In the advertisement system of the printer, a user-customized advertisement is displayed during the print waiting time that inevitably occurs when outputting to the printer, or user-customized content is output according to a layout and design of the printout. In addition, the advertisement system of the printer provides a rental fee discount, point and reward accumulation of the printer according to an amount of time the advertisement is output from the output device and an advertising print volume, so that a user who rented the printer may generate revenue and an advertiser may improve advertising effectiveness through the advertisement system of the printer.
METHODS FOR PROCESSING DOCUMENTS USING RULES IN VARIABLE DATA PRINTING OPERATIONS
Rules for variable data printing operations are defined using statements having text or image variables used in an object for a document template. Statements include conditions that evaluate content or data for the variables to determine whether the resulting content or data for the object is modified. Multiple statements are used within a rule, including those with complex expressions. The rules allow the generations of variety of documents that include different and fixed content.
PRINT DEVICE, PRINT QUALITY JUDGMENT METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
A print device that includes a supply portion, a print portion, a conveyance portion, a notification portion, a processor, a reading portion, and a memory. The memory stores computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the processor, instruct the processor to perform processes including acquisition processing of acquiring judgment image data that does not satisfy a predetermined standard used to judge a print quality of a barcode, print processing of controlling the print portion to print a judgment image on a medium, judgment processing of judging whether read judgment image data output by the reading portion as a result of reading the judgment image satisfies the predetermined standard, and notification processing of controlling the notification portion to notify an error, when, in the judgment processing, it is judged that the read judgment image data satisfies the predetermined standard.
Information processing apparatus, information processing method and storage medium enabling selection from among multiple paper feed units
An information processing apparatus includes an obtaining unit that obtains media information concerning paper sheets set in media feed units provided to a printing apparatus, respectively, and includes a control unit. The control unit determines that designation information for determining a used media feed unit to be used for printing is not required in a case where it is possible to selectively determine the used media feed unit from the media feed units based on the media information. The control unit indicates the designation information in a case where it is not possible to determine the used media feed unit based on the media information.
METHODS, APPARATUSES, AND SYSTEMS FOR VERIFYING PRINTED IMAGE AND IMPROVING PRINT QUALITY
A method for evaluating a print quality of a printed document that is printed by a printer is provided. The printer comprises a pre-print image scanner, a post-print image scanner, and a printhead disposed between the pre-print image scanner and the post-print image scanner. The method comprises generating a pre-printing image of a print media, generating the printed document, generating a post-printing image of the printed document, generating a validation image by comparing the post-printing image with the pre-printing image, and comparing the validation image with the source image.
EDITING DEVICE EDITING PRINT DATA VIA DISPLAY DEVICE FOR CREATING COMPOSITE LABEL WITH PRINTING DEVICE
An editing device is configured to edit print data including first print data and second print data via a display device for creating a composite label with a printing device. The composite label includes a first label and a second label and is created by superposing the second label over the first label. A set of program instructions, when executed by a controller of the editing device, causes the editing device to perform displaying an editing screen on the display device. The editing screen has a first region, a second region, and a composite region. The displaying displays a first label image based on the first print data in the first region, a second label image based on the second print data in the second region, and a composite label image formed by superposing the second label image over the first label image in the composite region.
METHOD AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT FOR GENERATING OUTPUT PRINT DATA FOR PRINTING MULTIPLE COPIES WITH AT LEAST ONE VARIABLE ELEMENT ON A PRINT SHEET
A method for generating output print data for printing multiple copies having at least one variable element onto a print sheet can include: providing a presentation of the print sheet in a workspace of a graphical user interface; determining a basic area in which at least one object is arranged for generation of the variable element; replicating and arranging the basic area having the at least one object, corresponding to a predetermined grid of the copies; and filling of the replicated objects to generate the variable elements with variable print data.
METHODS FOR CONFIGURING SETTINGS FOR AN IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS WITH TEMPLATE SHEET
An image forming apparatus prints a template sheet. The template sheet includes a graphical code and operation boxes. The graphical code includes information corresponding to a storage location address that stores information about settings for one or more image forming apparatuses. A user indicates what information is desired or to be changed on the image forming apparatus, marks it on the template sheet and scans the template sheet. Based on the instructions on the template sheet, information for settings is retrieved for an apparatus in a network.
Print Layout Generating Device, and Non-Transitory Storage Medium Storing Computer-Readable Instructions to Generate Print Layout
A non-transitory storage medium storing computer-readable instructions which cause, when executed by a controller, cause the print layout generating device to display a first image indicative of a layout area in which objects can be arranged, display a second image indicative of a database including at least one field, and at least one record for the at least one field, the at least one record containing character data corresponding to each of at least one field, receive a first operation to select at least one field, receive a second operation to select a position within the layout area, identify a position of the selected object within the layout area, generating print layout data in which the selected object and a selected field are associated with each other. Selected characters corresponding to the selected field of the database are arranged within the selected objects for each record of the database.
NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM STORING COMPUTER-READABLE INSTRUCTIONS FOR TERMINAL DEVICE, TERMINAL DEVICE, AND METHOD EXECUTED BY TERMINAL DEVICE
The terminal device may acquire a first data association instruction for associating a label file and a first database file and acquire a second data association instruction for associating the label file and a second database. The terminal device may, in a case where the first data association instruction and the second data association instruction are acquired, store data association information in a memory. The terminal device may, in a case where a print instruction is acquired under a state where the data association information is stored in the memory, create one or more pieces of print data corresponding to one or more label images using the label file and the third database file associated with the label file, and send the one or more pieces of print data to a label printer.
