Information processing apparatus, tape printing apparatus, printing system, method of controlling information processing apparatus, and storage medium storing program for controlling information processing apparatus
An information processing apparatus includes: a display controller; a letter-size setting section that sets a letter size of a letter string over a plurality of lines which has been entered through an edit screen; and a print controller that prints the letter string in the letter size set by the letter-size setting section. The letter-size setting section can differently set letter sizes of the letter string. When a line feed operation is performed at a head or end of an n-th line through the edit screen, a letter size of the n-th line preset in accordance with a user's designation, the letter-size setting section sets a letter size of one of the n-th line and an (n+1)-th line after the line feed operation so that a length of letter string over the plurality of lines is equal to or shorter than a length of the printable area.
Printer for printing on a long sheet and method therefor
A printer for printing on a long sheet includes a print data divider and a verification processor. The print data divider outputs a plurality of segments of divided print data divided at the boundary of areas from standard print data containing print contents in each of the areas obtained by dividing a standard sheet into a plurality of the areas. The verification processor compares the size of the long sheet with the size of the area included in the standard sheet and rotates the divided print data if it is determined from a result of the comparison that the rotation is necessary.
PRINT CONTROLLER, PRINT CONTROL METHOD AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM
Provided is a print controller connectable to each of a cut paper printer and a continuous paper printer, the print controller including a receiving unit that receives a print job in a job ticket format from a print work flow system, a test print instruction unit that generates a print job of a new test print based on the print job and instructs the cut paper printer to execute a print process to execute a test print using print data included in the print job, a holding notification unit that notifies the print work flow system of an effect that the print job is held, and a real print job instruction unit that sends the print data included in the print job and a print parameter to the continuous paper printer and instructs the continuous paper printer to execute a real print job.
Image forming system and apparatus for printing image block sequence using continuous printing sheet
An image forming system for printing a sequence of image blocks on a continuous printing sheet based on image data, includes an information processing apparatus and an image forming apparatus. A printing setting unit included by the information processing apparatus designates first information and second information. The first information indicates whether a printing order of the image blocks is to be a normal order or a reverse order. The second information indicates how many image blocks of the sequence are to be printed on each of a plurality of segments of the printing sheet. The image forming apparatus includes a cutting unit and a control unit. The cutting unit cuts the printing sheet. The control unit controls the cutting unit so as to separate the segments of the printing sheet. The control unit determines cutting positions on the printing sheet based on the first information and the second information.
METHOD FOR TWO-SIDED PRINTING OF DIGITAL IMAGES FROM A ROLL IN A ROLL-TO-ROLL PRINTING SYSTEM
A method for two-sided printing of digital images on a roll of media by means of a roll-to-roll system is provided. The roll-to-roll system includes a digital image queue including entries for digital images to be printed on the roll. For each digital image to be printed on a first side of the roll, a first entry is registered in the digital image queue, which entry includes at least one digital item identifying the digital image and digital items of print properties of the digital image. For each digital image to be printed on a second side of the roll, a second entry is registered in the digital image queue, which entry includes at least one digital item identifying the digital image and digital items of print properties of the digital image. For each first digital image to be printed on the first side of the roll, a first location on the first side of the roll is established at which first location the first digital image is intended to be printed, a second digital image is established which is intended to be printed at a second location on the second side of the roll, the second location being the backside of the first location. The first entry of the first digital image in the digital image queue is then linked to the second entry of the second digital image in the digital image queue by means of a linking digital item in the digital image queue. The first digital images are printed on the first side of the roll according to the digital image queue, the one-sided printed roll is received in the input holder, and the second digital images are printed on the second side of the roll according to the corresponding linking digital items in the digital image queue.
Print management apparatus to determine amount of spoilage in continuous sheet and non-transitory computer readable medium
A print management apparatus includes a processor configured to, when a printer configured to perform printing on a continuous sheet prints a job, which contains multiple pages, on the continuous sheet, output the area of a part of the continuous sheet as the amount of spoilage. The part is not used for a product manufactured by using printed material corresponding to the job.
PRINT CONTROL APPARATUS AND METHOD, PRINT SYSTEM, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
A print control apparatus includes an analyzing unit, an obtaining unit, and a controller. The analyzing unit analyzes a total number of pages of received print data. The obtaining unit obtains number-of-printable-pages information, which is information on a number of pages printable on a bundle of continuous form paper set in a printer that performs printing on continuous form paper. When reference to the number-of-printable-pages information obtained by the obtaining unit and the total number of pages analyzed by the analyzing unit indicates that a print result based on the print data is to be printed on multiple bundles of continuous form paper, the controller controls the printer to print, on at least last two pages of the currently set bundle of continuous form paper, information indicating an order of output of the bundle of continuous form paper.
IMAGE INFORMATION CONVERTING APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, IMAGE INFORMATION CONVERTING SYSTEM, NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM STORING IMAGE INFORMATION CONVERTING PROGRAM AND IMAGE INFORMATION CONVERTING METHOD
An image information converting apparatus according to one embodiment includes a converting unit, a splitting unit and an adding unit. The converting unit converts first image information described in a first language into second image information described in a second language, the second language being different from the first language. The splitting unit splits the first image information into a plurality of split image files so as to each have a data size satisfying a restriction in image processing performed by the second image forming apparatus. The adding unit adds first additional information to each of the split image files. The first additional information indicates whether or not to add an image formation unit mark. The image formation unit mark indicates boundaries between batches of image formation units corresponding to images to be formed on a plurality of pages.
METHOD FOR SCHEDULING PRINTING OF DIGITAL IMAGES FROM AT LEAST ONE INPUT ROLL TO AT LEAST ONE OUTPUT ROLL IN A ROLL-TO-ROLL PRINTING SYSTEM
