Printing management apparatus

A printing management apparatus includes a memory; and a processor that is connected to the memory, in which, in a case where a printing apparatus, which performs printing on continuous form paper, processes plural jobs with respect to the continuous form paper in one-time printing, the processor calculates a length, which is acquired by excluding a part used to print the plural jobs from a length determined by a transport start spot, at which transport of the continuous form paper starts and a transport end spot at which the transport of the continuous form paper ends, as an amount of waste paper indicative of a part which becomes a loss of the continuous form paper, and outputs an amount of waste paper for each job of plurality of jobs, which is acquired by allocating the calculated amount of waste paper to the plural jobs.

A managing apparatus includes a processor configured to use continuous paper strips as recording media, receive multiple print jobs having different print speeds, and create print groups into which the multiple print jobs are classified according to print speed.

Printing system for continuous processing from printing to binding and printing method thereof

A printing system is provided with a dummy data insertion unit configured to insert dummy data into print data based on waiting time occurring when post-processing is performed by a post-processing device (for example, a collating machine). In a printing unit, a dummy page is printed on the basis of the dummy data. A dummy page removing unit configured to remove a dummy page from printed printing paper so that the dummy page is not supplied to the post-processing device is provided between the printing device and the post-processing device.

Print job management method and apparatus for creating multiple job batches from print jobs

A technique is provided with which it is possible to effectively consume a plurality of continuous base materials with different remaining amounts. A job list and a continuous paper list are prepared. The job list registers job attribute information that includes print length information that indicates the length of continuous paper necessary for printing of each print job. The continuous paper list registers continuous-base-material attribute information that includes paper remaining information that indicates a remaining length of each roll of continuous paper. Then, a job batch is generated in accordance with the continuous-paper attribute information and the job attribute information. The job batch defines one roll of continuous paper and a print job, the continuous paper being selected from among the continuous paper list, the print job being extracted from among the job list and printable on the selected continuous paper.

Printing apparatus

A printing apparatus includes a conveying mechanism configured to convey a continuously-fed paper, a print head, a memory, and a controller. The controller obtains printing information including a plurality of pieces of the unit-image data, pitch information, and speed information of a continuously-fed paper. The controller determines a first period of time which is required to print a predetermined number of unit-images on the continuously-fed paper and a second period of time which is required to store the predetermined number of pieces of the unit-image data into the memory. The controller determines, based on the first period of time and the second period of time, a stored-number which is a number of pieces of the unit-image data to be stored into the memory and starts printing the plurality of unit-images when the stored-number of pieces of the unit-image data is stored into the memory.

Control plan for paper, sheet, and box manufacturing systems
11449290 · 2022-09-20 · ·

Systems for providing efficient manufacturing of paper, sheet, and/or box products of varying size and structure, often with pre-applied print (“pre-print”), are provided herein. One or more controllers can be used to aggregate orders and information to prepare one or more control plans (e.g., reel maps, reel plans, etc.) for processing a roll of web product through the manufacturing process. The control plan may include a set of instructions for operating one or more systems within the manufacturing process to form the desired finished paper-based product. In such a regard, efficient manufacturing of various paper-based products, including corrugated boxes, folded carton, labels, flexible paper, industrial bags, plates, cups, décor, and many others, can be achieved. Further, efficient customer ordering/tracking, job aggregation, print imposition, corrugator planning, and tracking and adjustments throughout the manufacturing process are contemplated.

Control apparatus for displaying print preview, control method including display step of displaying print preview, and storage medium storing program that causes computer to function as units of control apparatus for displaying print preview

A control apparatus has a display unit, a first changing unit and a second changing unit. The display unit displays a print preview showing a print medium on which a sheet region corresponding to a predetermined paper size is provided. The first changing unit changes, based on a setting in a first setting item being changed, an orientation of the sheet region in the print preview displayed by the display unit. The second changing unit changes a positional relationship among a multiple pages on the print medium shown by the print preview based on a setting in a second setting item being changed by a user. Orientations of the multiple pages and the positional relationship and a setting in a second setting item are changed based on a change, by a first changing unit, of the orientation of the sheet region having the multiple pages arranged therein.

PAGE ALIGNMENT FOR TRACTORLESS PAPER

System and methods for page alignment for tractorless paper. In one embodiment, an apparatus receives a print job to be printed on a continuous web of print media in a duplex format with multiple first pages across a front of the web and multiple second pages across a back of the web which correspond with the multiple first pages. The apparatus maps pages to sheetlet regions, and applies first offsets to the sheetlet regions on the front of the virtual continuous forms based on operator input. The controller also determines second offsets for the sheetlet regions on the back of the virtual continuous forms based on an additive inverse of the first offsets, and modifies processing of the print job by applying the second offsets to the sheetlet region on the back of the virtual continuous forms to maintain alignment of front pages and back pages across the web.

RECORDING MEDIUM

The disclosure discloses a non-transitory computer-readable recording medium storing a virtual label display process program for executing steps. The steps include a composite image generating step, a composite image output step, a determining step, and a notifying step. In the composite image generating step, a real image data of a desired field of view and a virtual image data of a label are combined. In the composite image output step, a composite image data is output to a display device, and a virtual image of the label on the display device is superimposed and displayed. In the determining step, it is determined whether a desired suitability is satisfied between an exterior appearance of a background object and an exterior appearance of the label based on the real image data and the virtual image data. In the notifying step, a predetermined suitability notification is made.
