Described herein is a computer implemented method. The method includes selecting a plurality of elements on a design page and, for each selected element, determining a plurality of edge bleed pairs, each edge bleed pair including a particular edge and a particular bleed of the design page. Each edge bleed pair is processed to determine whether the selected element should be resized, the determination being based on the position of the particular edge relative to the particular bleed. If the determination is that the element should be resized, the method involves resizing the selected element so that the element covers a greater portion of the particular bleed than was originally covered by the element.

In some examples, the disclosure describes a computing device that includes instructions to: position an image with a first aspect ratio within a boundary with a second aspect ratio, select a window that includes a portion of the image and a portion of the boundary, predict transitional pixels into the portion of the boundary based on proximate pixels of the image within the selected window, and generate the transitional pixels into the portion of the boundary.

An apparatus includes a storage unit and a control unit. The storage unit stores conflict information indicating that a setting for printing a predetermined number of pages on one surface of one sheet conflicts with a setting for punching a plurality of rows of holes in the one sheet. The control unit performs control to prohibit generation of a print command including the printing and punching settings based on the conflict information stored in the storage unit.

A method for proactively creating an image product includes capturing an image of an object in a first environment by a device, storing a library of personalized products each characterized by a product type, automatically recognizing the object in the image as having a product type associated with the library of personalized products, automatically creating a design for the personalized product of the product type using personalized content, automatically displaying the design of the personalized product of the product type incorporating the selected photo in the first environment on the device, and manufacturing a physical product based on the design of the personalized product.

A method is provided of producing and assembling a multi-part surface-mountable physical-activity lamina for use in aiding or supplementing a physical-activity in a physical-activity environment. There is a step a] of providing a first graphic design model of the lamina; and b] segmenting the first graphic design model into a plurality of graphic design model portions. A step c] follows of arranging the graphic design model portions into a more compact second graphic design defining a reduced surface area; and then d] the second graphic design being applied to a lamina substrate having another surface area. The lamina substrate is then separated into lamina elements corresponding to the graphic design model portions, followed by a step e] of assembling the lamina elements onto a mounting surface at a physical-activity environment to form the surface-mountable physical-activity lamina.

An image forming system includes: an image forming apparatus having a priority paper feed source setting function and a print server that executes predetermined image processing, transmits image data after the image processing to the image forming apparatus, and causes the image forming apparatus to print an image based on the image data after the image processing. The print server (a) acquires a setting value of a priority paper feed source setting from the image forming apparatus, (b) specifies a print sheet orientation of a paper feed source designated as a priority paper feed source based on the acquired setting value, and (c) generates the image data after the image processing by matching an orientation of the image based on the image data after the image processing with an orientation corresponding to the specified print sheet orientation.

The image forming apparatus includes a changer configured to change at least one of a position or an angle of the second page, such that a color of a first edge portion region of the first page and a color of a second edge portion region, adjacent to the first edge portion region, of the second page, satisfy a predetermined condition.

When receiving a sheet size measurement instruction through a user interface, an information processing apparatus transmits a width measurement instruction to a printer through a communication I/F. When receiving a measurement result of a sheet width from the printer, a controller extracts sheet information that meets the received measurement result and displays the extracted sheet information for user selection. When a user selection is received, the controller updates a print setting with selected sheet information. When a user selection is not received, the controller transmits a type-designated measurement instruction designating the sheet type. When the measurement result is received, the controller updates the print setting with a sheet length information included in the received measurement result.
