Systems and methods for rendering items in a user interface are described. According to certain aspects, an electronic device may initiate, on a display of the electronic device, a user interface for displaying a rendering of an item. In embodiments, the user interface may include selectable options for editing design elements of the item. As a user of the electronic device moves a pointer on the user interface, the electronic device may automatically and dynamically configure a lighting effect simulating a virtual light source by setting a position of the virtual light source to the location of the pointer. A rendering of the item can then be generated by applying the lighting effect to a digital image of the item, where the lighting effect can be updated responsive to movement of the pointer.

An editing device is configured to edit print data including first print data and second print data via a display device for creating a composite label with a printing device. The composite label includes a first label and a second label and is created by superposing the second label over the first label. A set of program instructions, when executed by a controller of the editing device, causes the editing device to perform displaying an editing screen on the display device. The editing screen has a first region, a second region, and a composite region. The displaying displays a first label image based on the first print data in the first region, a second label image based on the second print data in the second region, and a composite label image formed by superposing the second label image over the first label image in the composite region.

The control device displays a first composite image and a second composite image. In the first composite image, the first and third label images are overlaid. In the second composite image, the second and third label images are overlaid. The control device controls a printing mechanism to perform printing for creating the first number of first labels, the second number of second labels, and the third number of third labels. The third number depends on both the first and second numbers.

An information control apparatus controls a printer device. The printer device outputs a sheet which is fed from a sheet feeder and which is printed and loads the printed sheet in a loader in accordance with a print instruction. The information control apparatus includes a controller. In a case in which the printer device outputs a check sheet while the print instruction is being executed, the controller performs control so that the sheet feeder will feed, as a sheet to be used as the check sheet, a sheet which will protrude from other sheets when being loaded in the loader.

The previewed print image includes a signature field and a code field in which the code is to be printed.

Methods and system for enabling previews for an embedded digital front end of a printing device
An embedded digital front end (DFE) of a printing device receives print jobs of documents from client devices. The print jobs are placed in a job queue within the DFE. Along with a received print job, the DFE also receives a graphic file corresponding to the print job. The graphic file is stored in a data storage on the DFE. The DFE provides the graphic file to a user interface connected to the DFE, to represent the print job. The user interface allows modifications be made to the job queue using the graphic files for the print jobs. Further, a client device connects to the user interface to modify the print order within the job queue.
