A method of displaying preset information according to an embodiment may include: storing plural pieces of preset information including first preset information and second preset information; obtaining, from a target file that is to be processed and includes first association information associated with the first preset information, the first association information; and displaying one or more pieces of preset information out of the plural pieces of preset information that are stored, while preferentially displaying, based on the obtained first association information, the first preset information associated with the first association information with respect to the second preset information.

The printer control unit accepts an input of the folder name, and prepares the sub hot folder given the accepted folder name and causes the printer storage unit to store the sub hot folder when the sub hot folder associated with the same print condition as the print condition corresponding to the keyword included in the accepted folder name is not stored in the printer storage unit.

System and method for printing colored media when input color matches media color
A system and method are provided which enable a print media color to be used, as a replacement for a mixture of one or more colorants, in rendering portions of a print job. One or more multidimensional look-up tables are provided. Each table provides for an identified input color, in a device-independent space, to be equated to no colorant, when printed on the respective print media. The identified input color is one of a set of input colors, which, when printed and measured, has an output color that is closest to a measured color of the print media.
METHOD OF PREPARING A PRINT JOB FOR THE PRINTING OPERATION
A method prepares a print job for a printing operation and includes providing at least one first data set associated with the print job and multiple reference data sets associated with reference jobs. The method is characterized in that it contains the steps of providing multiple mutually complementary data sets for each one of a plurality of reference jobs, automatically filtering the reference data sets of the plurality of reference jobs to provide at least one second data set, and using the second data set in the printing operation as a replacement of or an addition to the at least one first data set. The method provides a way of manufacturing high-quality printed products while saving time, e.g. makeready time for the printing operation, and costs, e.g. caused by unusable prints or low-quality prints.

In a case where it is determined that the lock setting is included, at least the plurality of setting items or the plurality of settings, associated with the lock setting, are inhibited from being change by operating the user interface unit.
