A computer-readable storage medium storing a program that causes a computer to execute a process, the process includes receiving a first identifier that is input when an application is used on a terminal; identifying, in accordance with the received first identifier, a storage that is associated with the first identifier and that stores file information; transmitting to the identified storage an acquisition request to acquire part or all of the file information stored in the storage; transmitting to the terminal a list of the part or all of the file information transmitted from the storage in response to the acquisition request; receiving from the terminal an item of file information selected from the list of the part or all of the file information; acquiring a file corresponding to the received item of file information from the storage; and transmitting the acquired file to a print server that performs printing processing.

A document scanning apparatus includes a controller configured to control an image scanner to scan a document sheet, thereby generating scanned image data, control a communication interface to transmit, to a storage, an instruction for inquiring whether there is one or more pieces of image data stored in a folder of the storage, control the communication interface to receive data existence information representing whether there is one or more pieces of image data stored in the folder, when the data existence information represents that there is one or more pieces of image data stored in the folder, control the communication interface to transmit, to the storage, an instruction to remove the one or more pieces of image data from the folder, and control the communication interface to transmit, to the storage, an instruction to store the scanned image data generated by the image scanner, into the folder.

A print setting corresponding to a folder referable by an external apparatus is stored in an image formation apparatus, storage of a file in the folder is detected, the detected file is moved to a storage area in the image formation apparatus, and a print job is generated based on the moved file and information about the print setting corresponding to the detected folder.

Techniques are disclosed relating to a system capable of processing instances of different versions of a workflow. The system may store workflow information indicating different versions of a workflow. The system may receive requests to create instances of the workflow. The requests may include a first request associated with a first, non-current version of the workflow and a second request associated with a second, different version of the workflow. The computer system may create a set of instances of the workflow, including a particular instance corresponding to the first request. The computer system may receive a request to migrate the particular instance to a particular version different from the non-current version associated with the first request. The computer system may migrate the particular instance to the particular version of the workflow, such that subsequently received instance data for the migrated particular instance is processed according to the particular version.

A print server is disclosed. The print server includes a printing software product that generates an object including one or more attributes defining work expected to be received in a printing system, assigns the object to an input device associated with a folder designated to receive the work, monitors the received work and provides a notification if the received work does not match the attributes of the object.

An image forming apparatus performs, in a case where a file transmitted from an information processing apparatus is stored in a folder that is accessible from the information processing apparatus and with which a print setting is associated, processing for printing the file in accordance with the print setting. The image forming apparatus transmits, to the information processing apparatus as screen information of an operation screen displayable by a web browser, screen information of a first operation screen for accepting an operation for storing a print target file in the folder, and screen information of a second operation screen for, in a case where the operation is accepted via the first operation screen, accepting a determination as to whether or not to transmit the print target file to the image forming apparatus.

An image processing apparatus displays My Folder in a selectable manner on a screen for selecting a saving destination of a file in a case where a protocol included in My Folder information is determined to be available for a function selected by a user, and displays My Folder in an unselectable manner on the screen for selecting the saving destination of the file in a case where the protocol included in My Folder information is determined to be unavailable for the function selected by the user.

A print system includes print servers that each store a print job, a management server that manages the print servers, a printer that performs printing of the print job, a print server information storage area that stores print server information, a shared information storage area that stores information of the print job, and a shared data storage area that stores data of the print job. The print servers each include circuitry that receives a job list request from the printer, acquires the information of the print job in a first group of the each of the print servers from the shared information storage area, acquires the information of the print job in a second group different from the first group from at least one of the print servers in the second group, and provides a job list to the printer.

According to one embodiment, a method for formatting variable data production of a document can comprise defining, by a document production system, a set of rules. The set of rules can comprise one or more of a derived rule, a matching rule, or a formatting rule associated with one or more data objects of the document. The set of rules can be applied to the associated one or more data objects of the document based on dependencies between the rules in the set of rules. The dependencies between the rules in the set of rules are resolved in a hierarchically vertical manner. One or more custom documents can be generated based on the applied set of rules.

An electronic device includes a storage device, an entry operation unit, and a control unit. The storage device stores a document box in which document data is accumulated and stored. The entry operation unit accepts entry of a box name of the document box. The control unit includes a processor and, when the processor executes a control program, functions as a deletion controller. The deletion controller stores a predetermined plurality of keywords each indicating a saving period of the document data, and deletes the document data stored in the document box including at least one of the plurality of keywords in the box name thereof, the delete being performed in accordance with the saving period indicated by the included keyword.
