A method of producing custom grommeted drapery that minimizes the need for inventorying of materials includes printing selected patterns or designs on assembled blank drapery. The blank drapery includes all of the layers of textile joined together as a unit, include a printing side or layer and a blackout side or layer. The blank drapery also have grommet holes punched in them, before or after printing the drapery. Once a selection is made, a blank drapery is then printed using the selected design, and then grommets can be assembled into grommet holes punched through the drapery along a top edge of the drapery. The inventive process obviates the need to inventory multiple different materials that are conventionally assembled together after printing a layer of textile for finishing.

A system and method directs promotional information, such as coupons of possible interest to a user, when they release their cloud-stored print job from a multifunction peripheral at their selected location. The user is identified, along with their location, and promotional information of possible relevance to the user is displayed on the multifunction peripheral touchscreen. Information selected by the user will be printed out along with their released print job. Businesses register and store their promotional information with the cloud print server, and may be assessed a fee when their literature is printed.

Instruction information on quality inspection of a printed matter is acquired, and it is determined whether the instruction information identifies an inspection target by identification information of an object or by coordinate information. An inspection position is identified in accordance with the determination result, and quality inspection of the printed matter is performed by using the identified inspection position.

An information processing system includes an image processing apparatus capable of obtaining image data and a server-for-service connected with the image processing apparatus through a network. The server-for-service holds profile information, which defines processing executed on the image data uploaded from the image processing apparatus, in association with authorization information on a user. A policy-based system is implemented to allow access to a private domain to print using a public domain. The private domain includes private servers that store documents. The public domain includes servers and a printing device. A public policy server uses a domain list and a protocol connection with a private authentication server to validate a user and identify which private domain to access. The public policy server receives requests from the printing device to process a print job of a document in the private domain. The policy-based system also determines whether printing operations may occur in a public printing service. A public print server determines whether to allow printing for a user in an organization.

An information processing system includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured to: accept a job requesting print output of print data from an information terminal; determine one or more printing companies having a printing machine that can execute a job, among a plurality of printing companies, based on a state of a printing machine held by each one of the plurality of printing companies and a content of the job; and transmit information of the one or more printing companies determined, to the information terminal to display the information on the information terminal.

In an illustrative embodiment, systems for designing and producing customized food products include receiving a request to design a customized food product containing a printed edible medium. The systems may calculate, based on product inventory at a preferred bakery, a preparation lead time for the food product where the product inventory includes availability of printed edible media substrates. The systems may present customization user interface screens that provide customization options for the food product. The systems may convert customization option selections made at the customization user interface screens into decorating instructions for the food product and transmit the decorating instructions to the bakery. The systems may determine a position in a preparation queue for the food product based in part on attributes of pending food product orders in a preparation queue at the bakery.
