The image data generation unit reads a plurality of source documents placed on the document setting table and generates image data representing the plurality of source documents. The downsized image data generation unit generates downsized image data by reducing a size of the image data. The document information generation unit analyzes the downsized image data to detect respective positions of the plurality of source documents and generate document information indicating the detected positions. The image cropping unit cuts out a plurality of regions from the image data according to the document information and acquires a plurality of items of cropped image data respectively representing the plurality of source documents.

A print control apparatus includes an output unit that outputs information for displaying a screen indicating that continuous printing processing is not executable in a case where it is determined that continuous printing processing is not executable. In a case where the information for displaying the screen indicating that continuous printing processing is not executable is output, the screen indicating that continuous printing processing is not executable is displayed on a display unit.

A method, at a terminal having at least one associated graphical user interface(s)(GUI)(s), comprising: receiving input data, at one or more I/O device(s) associated with and communicatively connected to the terminal, selecting one or more file object(s) displayed on the at least one associated graphical user interface(s); retrieving, from a database stored on a computer-readable medium, parameters associated with one or more criteria for performing a sequence of one or more commands; accessing properties of file(s) associated with the one or more file objects; comparing the properties of the file(s) with the parameters associated with one or more criteria to determine which criteria are met; retrieving, from a database stored on a computer-readable medium, sequences of one or more commands to be performed under specified conditions; and calculating and initiating the appropriate sequence of commands. A print control apparatus includes a receiving unit receiving a print instruction; a first converting unit converting a dimension of a sheet of paper specified in a first unit in the print instruction to a dimension in a second unit different from the first unit; a second converting unit converting the dimension in the second unit to a dimension in a third unit employed by a print apparatus; an acquiring unit acquiring, from the print apparatus, information regarding a standard dimension list in the third unit; a selecting unit selecting, from the information, a standard dimension that matches, within a preset tolerance range, the dimension in the third unit; a generating unit generating print data by processing the print instruction by using the selected dimension; and an output controller specifying the selected dimension to control output of the print apparatus on the basis of the print data.

A control apparatus includes a storing unit, a determining unit, a first notification unit, a selection unit, and a second notification unit. The storing unit stores attribute information of sheets to be stored in sheet holding units. The determining unit determines whether attribute information of sheets to be used by a job corresponds to the stored sheet attribute information. The first notification unit notifies, in a case where the determining unit determines that the attribute information does not correspond, a user that the attribute information does not correspond to the sheet attribute information. The selection unit selects the stored sheet attribute information to change the attribute information of sheets to be used by the job. The second notification unit notifies, in accordance with selection of the sheet attribute information, the user that the attribute information of sheets to be used by the job corresponds to the stored sheet attribute information.

A system includes a server and a printing apparatus. The server manages a first printing content and a second printing content as a predetermined printing target. When an instruction user issues a speech instruction for printing the predetermined printing target to an audio control device as an n-th speech print instruction, the server selects the first printing content associated with the predetermined printing target.

A print control device includes drawing processing units, a sending unit, and a delivery unit. The drawing processing units perform a drawing process on a print instruction written in a page description language. The sending unit sends the entirety of a print instruction constituted by plural pages, to the drawing processing units. The delivery unit sequentially delivers processing requests each specifying a page to the drawing processing units. Each drawing processing unit performs a drawing process by converting the print instruction for a page specified by a delivered processing request into image data, and again performs, when processing requests are delivered in descending order of page, processing of the sent print instruction from the first page. The delivery unit delivers a processing request to a drawing processing unit to which processing requests are deliverable in ascending order of page.

A printer is described. The printer includes a processor. A memory is coupled to the processor. The memory contains instructions that when processed by the processor cause a method to be performed. The method includes presenting a list of printing substitutions on a display. The printing substitutions are each associated with a respective printer profile. The list of printing substitutions identify which ones of the printing substitutions are enabled and which ones of the printing substitutions are disabled. The list also identifies the printer profiles that the substitutions are associated with, wherein at least one printer profile that is not enabled for a current print job is included in the list.

In a case where the printing of a plurality of copies based on an original image is to be executed by causing a feeding stage which is set for each of the plurality of copies to perform feeding, a feed operation is controlled so as to stop feeding from a feeding stage which serves as a feed target when a sheet attribute designated in a job and a sheet attribute set in the feeding stage are different from each other.

A data processing device includes a feature specification unit that analyzes document data indicating a print target document to specify a feature of the print target document, an acquiring unit that acquires feature data indicating a feature of at least one document specified by analyzing each document and setting data indicating a print setting corresponding to each document, from a storage device, a selection unit that compares the specified feature of the print target document with the features indicated by the feature data of the documents acquired by the acquiring unit and that selects setting data used for printing of the print target document among the acquired setting data based on a comparison result, and a print instructing unit that instructs a printing device to print the print target document in accordance with the selected setting data.
