FLEXIBLE LABEL WITH ACTIVATING CIRCUITRY
A label sensor that can be affixed to an item includes a first section and a second section. The first section includes a memory, an environmental sensor, a radio frequency (RF) front end that includes a tuning circuit, and a processing module. The processing module is operably coupled to the memory, the environmental sensor, and the RF front end. The second section includes an activation circuit that is operable, upon receiving an input, to activate one or more of the memory, the environmental sensor, the RF front end and the processing module. The activation causes the label sensor to be put in a first operational mode of a plurality of operational modes.
Hybrid construction payment card
Cards having a hybrid construction including a biodegradable portion and related methods are disclosed. A card can include a card body having a top surface and a bottom surface opposite the top surface, the top and bottom surfaces meeting at a peripheral edge of the card body; and a first portion secured to a second portion such that the top surface of the card body spans both the first and second portions and the bottom surface is formed entirely of the second portion. The card can further include a chip secured to the first portion of the card body; wherein the peripheral edge includes at least an insertion edge of the first portion; wherein the second portion of the card body comprises a biodegradable material; and wherein the first portion and a recyclable portion meet at a frangible junction on the top surface of the card body.
Multifunction electromagnetic induction sealing liner
A multifunction electromagnetic induction sealing liner includes, from top to bottom order, a composite function layer, an electromagnetic induction heating layer, and an adhesion layer combined together. The composite function layer includes, from top to bottom order, an information layer and a backing layer combined together. The information layer has therein an information chip and an antenna circuit electrically connected to the information chip. The composite function layer includes a grip portion, a primary cutting line and a secondary cutting line. The primary cutting line runs annularly and divides the composite function layer into an outer ring and an inner ring. The grip portion is disposed inside the inner ring and connected thereto. The secondary cutting line is disposed in the inner ring and connected to a lateral edge of the grip portion. The antenna circuit crosses the primary cutting line and/or the secondary cutting line.
MULTI-PURPOSE RFID LABEL
The disclosure provides RFID labels including a composite label affixed to a surface of a container holding an object, including a first configuration wherein the first label section is positioned in the composite label and wherein the first label section can be removed from the composite label and configured to be affixed to the object.
Tearing to turn on wireless node with multiple cutouts for re-use
A wireless tag includes a main body comprising an embedded wireless transducing circuit. coupled to a parallel arrangement of resistive loops embedded in respective tabs extending from the main body of the wireless tag. The wireless transducing circuit includes a globally unique identifier, a battery, a processor, a memory comprising processor-readable instructions, and a wireless communications interface; and a wake circuit configured to turn-on in response to an open circuit occurring in a respective tab. The wireless transducing circuit is configured to turn on responsive to the wake circuit receiving a voltage level above a threshold.
Flexible label with activating circuitry
A label sensor that can be affixed to an item includes a first section and a second section. The first section includes a memory, an environmental sensor, a radio frequency (RF) front end, and a processing module. The processing module is operably coupled to the memory, the environmental sensor, and the RF front end. The second section includes an activation circuit that is operable, upon receiving an input, to activate one or more of the memory, the environmental sensor, the RF front end and the processing module. The activation causes the label sensor to be put in an operational mode of a plurality of operational modes.
Stored value card systems with tamper evident activation indicia
Systems and methods for indicating tampering of a stored value card. The systems generally include a stored value card having a first activation indicia, and a removable label having a second activation indicia and covering the first activation indicia. To activate the stored value card, the first and second activation indicia are scanned. The removable label is configured to render the second activation indicia unreadable and/or to provide visual evidence of tampering such that activation is not recommended.
DUAL PASSIVE TECHNOLOGY RFID TEMPERATURE ACTIVATED MEDIA
RFID devices are provided for use in combination with a food item or other temperature-sensitive item. The RFID devices include an RFID chip and an antenna electrically coupled to the RFID chip, along with a temperature-sensitive member. The temperature-sensitive member is configured to be in a first condition below a selected temperature and a second condition above the selected temperature to signify that the RFID device and associated food item or other temperature-sensitive item have been exposed to a temperature above the selected temperature. The temperature-sensitive member may be incorporated into the antenna to render the antenna at least partially inoperative above the selected temperature. The temperature-sensitive member may instead be configured to exhibit different colors below and above the selected temperature, or a single RFID device may include both types of temperature-sensitive members. Such RFID devices may also incorporate tamper-resistant features and/or accommodate human- and/or machine-readable printed symbols.
METAL CAP WITH RFID TAG AND CONTAINER COMPRISING SAME
A metal cap is provided with an RFID tag that includes a metal cap including a cylindrical main body part, a top plate part formed at one end of the cylindrical main body part, and an opening part formed at the other end of the cylindrical main body part, and an RFID tag disposed on the metal cap. The RFID tag includes an RFIC element disposed in the metal cap, and a loop antenna connected to the RFIC element. At least a portion of a loop opening of the loop antenna extends in a circumferential direction R of the metal cap while being exposed from an opening edge of the opening part of the metal cap to the outside of the metal cap.
