Transaction card including removable chip
Provided are approaches for removing a chip of a transaction card using a chip removal element. In some approaches, the transaction card may include a body including a first main side opposite a second main side, a chip coupled to the first main side of the body, and a chip removal element disposed between the chip and the body. A first end of the chip removal element may be positioned within a tab recess along the first main side of the body, wherein the chip removal element is operable to decouple the chip from the body when the chip removal element is moved away from the body.
APPLICATION PROCESSING METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR EMBEDDED UNIVERSAL INTEGRATED CIRCUIT CARD
An application processing method and apparatus for an embedded universal integrated circuit card (eUICC) are disclosed. The method includes: activating, by a terminal device, an embedded universal integrated circuit card (eUICC); and selecting, by the terminal device, an Issuer Security Domain Root (ISD-R) application on the eUICC during an initialization process of the eUICC, to maintain a session between the terminal device and the eUICC. The session between the terminal device and the eUICC can be maintained during the initialization process of the eUICC
Dual module for dual chip card
A dual module for a dual chip card includes a supporting film supporting on an outer surface, a plurality of connecting pads including two series of connecting pads extending in a given direction and, on an inner surface, two inner connection areas for connection to an antenna of the dual card and a chip, the chip including contact terminals connected by wires to the inner connection areas or electric connecting pads by holes passing through the supporting film while being coated, together with the wires, by coating resin. The electric connecting pads of the outer surface include only three pads. Each of the two inner connection areas forms a comb including a body extending under each of the pads of one of the two series of connecting pads separated from the coating mass, respectively. Blades extend separately from one another from the body until ends covered by the coating mass.
Tooling and a method for weakening an outline in a thin plastics card
Disclosed are a method of weakening an outline in a thin plastic card and tooling for performing the method. The method may include several operations, including a go punching step by means of a go punch presenting a solid shape substantially identical to the outline and suitable for punching the thin plastic card along a go direction against a die presenting a hollow shape substantially identical to the outline and in alignment with the go punch in order to be able to receive material pushed by the go punch, and a return punching step by means of a return punch presenting a solid shape substantially identical to the outline in alignment with the go punch and suitable for punching the thin plastic card along a return direction opposite to the go direction. Also disclosed is a thin plastic card including at least one outline weakened by such a method.
CHIP CARD FIXING ASSEMBLY AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE WITH SAME
A chip card fixing assembly is received inside a charging interface of an electronic device for fixing a chip card inside the charging interface. The chip card fixing assembly includes a resisting assembly including at least one pushing member and a securing member including at least one fixing portion. The at least one fixing portion and the at least one pushing member cooperatively define a securing space therebetween for fixing the chip card.
A SYSTEM FOR PROXIMATE AND/OR REMOTE ELECTRONIC TRANSACTION AUTHORIZATION BASED ON USER AUTHENTICATION AND/OR BIOMETRIC IDENTIFICATION
An information capturing and transaction device may be used to capture a user's biometric information which in turn may be received by a secure element such as a SIM card. SIM card-based captured biometric keys are generated based on the user's biometric information and compared with SIM card-based reference biometric keys. If these two SIM card-based keys match with one another, access to each of a plurality of applications residing on the SIM card may be permitted. The applications may be selectively activatable from the SIM card. The applications, which may include payment and voting applications, may be executed and operated from the SIM card to perform an electronic transaction on a third-party computer system such as an electronic payment system and electronic voting system.
SIM card and method for producing same
Methods and systems are provided for utilizing enhanced SIM cards with integrated SIM cards. An example SIM card may comprise an integrated SIM card that is smaller than the SIM card; with the SIM card comprising a plurality of punched cutouts adjacent to the integrated SIM card. The punched cutouts may be arranged such that the integrated SIM card can be detached from the SIM card. Each one of the punched cutouts may line up with at least one electrical contact of the integrated SIM card, and a width of each one of the punched cutouts may be set based on at least one dimension of the electrical contact of the integrated SIM card. The punched cutouts may be arranged based on a direction of insertion of the integrated SIM card. The SIM card may comprise engraved lines arranged based on the punched cutouts.
MOBILE TERMINAL AND METHOD FOR SHARING SIM CARD
The present invention provides methods for sharing a SIM card and mobile terminals. The method comprises: utilizing a first mobile terminal to receive a SIM card access request signal from at least a second mobile terminal which does not have the SIM card, wherein the first mobile terminal has the SIM card and operates as a server having no fixed IP; transmitting a security authentication information request signal to the second mobile terminal according to the SIM card access request signal; and determining whether to transmit a SIM card Elementary Files data to the second mobile terminal according to the security authentication information, wherein the SIM card Elementary Files data is utilized by the second mobile terminal to use communication function of the SIM card. The present invention allows the mobile terminals to share a SIM card.
MULTI-PORTION CONNECTOR FOR USE WITH DIFFERENTLY-SIZED CARDS
An apparatus and method are provided for use with a first card of a first size [e.g. subscriber identify module (SIM) card, etc.] and a second card of a second size (e.g. memory card, etc.). Included is a connector with a first portion and a second portion which is configured for being manipulated to have a first orientation and a second orientation. The first orientation is such that the first portion of the connector is positioned for removably receiving the first card, or the second portion of the connector is positioned for removably receiving the second card. Further, the second orientation is such that the first card is stacked with the second card for being removably inserted in a device. This permits electrical communication between the device and the first card when the first card is removably received in the first portion of the connector, and further permits electrical communication between the device and the second card when the second card is removably received in the second portion of the connector.
