Systems and Methods for Vehicle-Based Alert Systems
An example method is disclosed, the method comprising: (i) detecting, via a first sensor of an alert system configured for use with a vehicle, a living being inside the vehicle; (ii) measuring, via a second sensor, an environmental feature inside the vehicle; (iii) based at least on the detection of the living being and the measured environmental feature, determining, an alert condition inside the vehicle; (iv) selecting a first computational action based at least on the determined alert condition; (v) transmitting an instruction that causes a component of the vehicle to perform the selected first computational action; (vi) selecting a second computational action based at least on the determined alert condition; and (vii) transmitting, via a network interface, to at least one computing device that is remote from the alert system, an instruction that causes at least one remote computing device to perform the selected second computational action.
DETERMINATION AND NOTIFICATION OF A LOCATION OF A BUILDING SAFETY SYSTEM EVENT
Methods, systems, and devices for determination and notification of a location of a building safety system event are described herein. One embodiment includes a method for notifying a user of a fire system event, comprising detecting an event in a building through an event detection device and transmitting information about at least one of the event or the event detection device to a remote server and to a first computing device. The first computing device may include a memory wherein floorplans of each floor of the building are stored. The method may further comprise determining, based on the information and through the first computing device, a floor of the building on which the first event was detected; transmitting a particular floorplan of that floor to the remote server; determining a specific location within the floor at which the first event was detected; generating a visual floor representation, including an indication of the specific location, based on the particular floorplan and the specific location; and transmitting the visual floor representation to a software application comprised of executable instructions stored in the memory of a second computing device to present the visual floor representation to a user.
ELECTRONIC SYSTEM WITH ALERTS TRIGGERED BY DETECTED AUDIO EXPOSURE FROM WEARABLE AUDIO OUTPUT DEVICE(S)
An electronic device, method and computer program product monitor accumulated usage of connected audio wearable devices and employ digital wellbeing policies responsive the accumulated usage. The electronic device includes an audio driver configured to communicatively couple and transmit audio output to at least one wearable audio output device. A controller of the electronic device is communicatively coupled to the audio driver. The controller monitors presentation of audio output via each of the at least one wearable audio output device. The controller compares a total time of audio exposure to a user via each of the at least one wearable audio output device presenting the audio output with a corresponding audio exposure threshold within an exposure period of time. The controller presents an alert via an output device in response to the total time of audio exposure exceeding the audio exposure threshold.
LARGE VEHICLE AND BOAT POWER INLET MONITORING DEVICE AND SYSTEM
A power inlet protection and monitoring device includes a power connection port configured to be on a vehicle and configured to have electrical characteristics when accepting power from an external power source, a monitoring module configured to measure electrical characteristics of the power connection port and configured to determine whether the electrical characteristics of the power connection port are in tolerance, wherein when the monitoring module determines that the electrical characteristics of the power connection port are out of tolerance or a fault may present, the monitoring module triggers one or more alarm conditions, and a power conditioner module that includes a surge protector configured to redirect an over voltage or over amperage.
System and method for location monitoring and event-based sentinel management
A building monitoring system includes a first sensor configured to detect a first condition in the space, a second sensor configured to detect a second condition in the space, and a robotic sentinel. The robotic sentinel includes a memory for storing one or more rules each configured to identify an alert condition for the space based on the first and/or second conditions in the space, a communications module configured to communicate with a remote device over a network, and a controller operatively coupled to the sensors, the memory, and the communications module. The controller is configured to apply the one or more rules to the first and second detected conditions in the space to identify one or more alert conditions and determine what action is required by the robotic sentinel, and if action is required, command the robotic sentinel to travel to a location of the alert condition.
