Asset management techniques

Systems, devices and methods for monitoring and managing parts, enterprise resources and other assets, and alleviating risks, in a complex collaboration environment are provided. According to some example aspects of the invention, a device with a hardware- and software-based control system scans and/or writes unique asset-related information within a plurality of chemical, electromagnetic, or written data-bearing tags within, on or throughout an asset for use in a manufacturing, maintenance and/or tracking process. In other example aspects, the system records that asset-specific information (e.g., using secure network(s) and/or a blockchain), providing it for later access and modification by a number of trusted users, to track and control manufacturing-, maintenance-relevant or other factors. In still other example aspects, an enterprise resource planning system both outputs information to, and receives information from, the control system, reconciling changes in the data.

ACOUSTO-MAGNETIC (AM) ANTI-THEFT MARKER AND USE THEREOF
20240135793 · 2024-04-25 ·

The present disclosure discloses an acousto-magnetic (AM) anti-theft marker and use thereof. The AM anti-theft marker includes at least one resonator(s), where when the resonator(s) does not include cobalt, a weight percentage of nickel is 0 wt % to 39 wt %; or when the resonator(s) includes cobalt, a total weight percentage of nickel and cobalt is higher than 0 wt % and no more than 36 wt %. Although this AM anti-theft marker's resonator(s) of the present disclosure does not include or only includes a very small amount of nickel and cobalt, it still has good alarm performance; and the existing detectors can effectively detect the AM anti-theft marker of the present disclosure within a predetermined security alarming distance. It can be seen that this AM anti-theft marker has a commercial value, and can reduce the loss prevention cost of business and the consumption of earth resources.

Retention member for perforating guns

A perforating gun includes a charge tube having shaped charges affixed thereto. Each shaped charge includes a radially outward pointing post adapted to receive a detonator cord. A retention member installed on the post provides a compressive force that energetically couples the detonator cord to the post. The radially outermost portion of the retention member is radially flush with or radially recessed relative to the radially outermost portion of each post. In one embodiment, the retention member has a rounded medial portion, a central opening and a pair of locking tabs that point radially inward to the central opening. Each post may include a slot for receiving the detonator cord and a circumferential groove that is adapted to receive the locking tabs.

Recording medium

A recording medium is provided, such as paper, secured by magnetic microwires. The recording medium comprises: a pulp structure formed by pulp fibers, said pulp structure carrying microwires having a metal core of a predetermined material composition, and an insulating layer coating on said metal core; and at least one coating layer on at least one side of said pulp structure. The pulp structure is a single-layer structure with the microwires fully embedded in said single layer, the microwires having cross-sectional dimensions approximately equal to cross-sectional dimensions of the pulp fibers.

ELECTRONIC ARTICLE SURVEILLANCE LABELS

There is disclosed an electronic article surveillance label and a cover label for an electronic article surveillance label for small high value hard goods such as, but no limited to, cosmetics, perfumes, medication, health-care items, DIY accessories and the like. The electronic article surveillance label and cover label include a flexible support having a bottom section with a soft glue area and a top section with a strong glue area.

Coded tags encoded using different magnetic materials and systems and methods of detecting coded tags

A method includes printing a first magnetic material onto a substrate. The first magnetic material has a first magnetic characteristic and encodes first information based on the first magnetic characteristic. The method further includes printing a second magnetic material onto the substrate. The second magnetic material encodes second information and has a second magnetic characteristic different from the first magnetic characteristic. The second information is encoded based on the second magnetic characteristic.

Security marker

Systems and methods for making a marker. The methods comprise: disposing a resonator with a flat planar cross-sectional profile in a cavity formed in a first substrate partially defining a marker housing; sealing the cavity using a second substrate; placing a first bias element adjacent to the second substrate so that the resonator will be biased by the first bias element when the marker is in use to oscillate at a frequency of a received transmit burst; and using a physical structure in the cavity or a magnetic field passing through the cavity to reduce frictional forces between the resonator and at least the second substrate.

Packaging supporting verification of package integrity and detection of related intrusion
10332373 · 2019-06-25 · ·

A packaging system is provided includes a sensing barrier protecting at least one article. The sensing barrier is formed from a multilayer laminate structure that encapsulates a transformative material between first and second conductive layers. The transformative material is configured to undergo a state change (for example, by a chemical reaction or physical reaction) that changes impedance between the first and second conductive layers in response to intrusion through the multilayer laminate structure. An NFC/RFID circuit is electrically coupled to the first and second conductive layers of the multilayer laminate structure. At least one operational characteristic of the NFC/RFID circuit is dependent on the change in impedance between the first and second conductive layers of the multilayer laminate structure in response to intrusion. The operational characteristic(s) of the NFC/RFID circuit can be ascertained and analyzed (for example, by suitable operations of an external NFC/RFID interrogator) to detect the intrusion and provide an indication of the intrusion if and when detected.

ARTICLE SURVEILLANCE TAG ATTACH/DETACH MECHANISM
