Selective sound storage device
A computer-readable medium, controller and a method of automatically recording a sound signal is provided. A sound signal is received by the controller from a sound generating device. A frequency of the received sound signal is determined by the controller. When the determined frequency is within a predetermined frequency range, the controller starts recording the received sound signal.
Virtual wireless multitrack recording system
Systems and methods for wirelessly recording multi-track audio files. In some aspects, each performer is equipped with a local audio device capable of locally recording the respective performer's audio while also transmitting it to a master recorder. Functions of the local audio device may be adjusted remotely. The locally recorded audio may be used to repair or replace any audio lost or corrupted during transmission to the master recorder. Such repair or replacement may be performed electronically or via playback of the locally recorded audio. In other aspects, a master recorder is not required since all locally recorded audio may be combined or otherwise processed post-recording. Locally recorded audio may include identifiers to aid in post-recording identification of such audio. A multi-memory unit is provided to facilitate manipulation and processing of audio files. A method for automatically adjusting local audio device power mode based upon recorder status is also disclosed.

BINAURAL RECORDING SYSTEM AND EARPIECE SET
Systems, methods, and sets for capturing and reproducing a binaural recording are provided. In one embodiment, an audio cable is disclosed for connecting a pair of binaural-recording earpieces of the present invention to one or more analog and/or digital audio devices, including but not limited to, cameras, videorecorders, smart phones, audio players and storage devices, and the like. The audio cable of the present disclosure provides for a binaural recording captured from earpieces of the present invention to be received by the one or more analog and/or digital audio devices as an audio input.
Binaural recording system and earpiece set
Systems, methods, and sets for capturing and reproducing a binaural recording are provided. In one embodiment, the binaural recording is captured using an earpiece set that includes a pair of earpieces each including a frame, a microphone, and a transducer. The frame is adapted to be worn on an ear, and defines an ear-insertion end and a posterior end opposite the ear-insertion end. The ear-insertion end is adapted to be positioned within an ear canal. The microphone is coupled to the frame for capturing ambient sound, and adapted to be positioned outside the ear canal and substantially coplanar with a tragus of the ear.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REMOTELY CONTROLLING LOCAL AUDIO DEVICES IN A VIRTUAL MULTITRACK RECORDING SYSTEM
Automatic music recording and authoring tool
A method for automatically starting an audio recording that includes receiving audio data and dividing the audio data into a first set of consecutive segments and a second set of consecutive segments that occur after the first set. The method further includes analyzing the first set of segments by measuring an average energy and peak value for each segment of the first set and determining a silence score therefrom, and analyzing the second set of segments by measuring an average energy and peak value for each segment of the second set and determining an music score therefrom. The method begins a recording of the audio data if the silence score is above a first predetermined value and the music score is above a second predetermined value.
Recording apparatus with mastering function
There is provided a recording apparatus which can effectively execute compression processing regardless of the mixdown level, and which can thereby carry out the mastering process easily. A DSP mixes down audio signals assigned to a plurality of tracks into a stereo audio signal. When performing the mastering process, the DSP normalizes the stereo audio signal before performing the compression processing, subsequently carries out the compression processing, then performs normalization again so as to produce master data, and records the master data in a recorder.

AUDIO ENHANCEMENT PROCESSING SYSTEM
The present invention provides an audio enhancement system which is achieved by processing a duplicate of a recording or audio file and creating therefrom at least two identical secondary signals or two layers. One of the layers is the duplicated original and the other being an exact duplicate of that duplicated original. The enhanced audio files or recordings are used to enable the owner of the original audio file to purchase the enhanced audio. The user is enabled by the present system to compare the enhanced duplicate to the original to determine whether or not to purchase the enhanced audio.
