AUDIO PROCESSING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING AUDIO PROCESSING APPARATUS
An audio processing apparatus includes an audio file recovery unit configured to recover an audio file related to a video file. With video data of the video file and audio data of the audio file recorded at different speed rates from each other, the audio file recovery unit recovers the audio file so that an end position of the audio data coincides with an end position of the video data in playback of the audio data and the video data at a speed rate.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INTERACTIVE PROGRAM GUIDES WITH PERSONAL VIDEO RECORDING FEATURES
Methods and systems that provide enhanced personal video recorder (“PVR”) and interactive television program guide (“IPG”) functionality are provided. An interactive television application (“application”) may be implemented to provide such functionality. The application may be used to display a list of PVR recordings, to schedule recordings to a PVR, to configure recordings, to view a list of scheduled recordings, to configure recording settings, or to select delete priority settings for recordings. The application may integrate pay-per-view and PVR functionality. The application may send user notifications for changes that are to be made to the recording content of a PVR. Live programming may be buffered by the application using a straight buffers that are created for each new program. Parallel buffers for concurrent programs may be implemented using multiple tuners. Straight buffers may be used in managing or controlling the flow of programming. Television content may be automatically paused when a user is engaged in using the application. Multiple IPGs for different users of a PVR may be implemented. Other PVR related features are also provided.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DYNAMIC RANGE TRANSFORMING OF IMAGES
An image processing apparatus comprises a receiver (201) for receiving an image signal comprising an encoded image. Another receiver (1701) receives a data signal from a display (107) where the data signal comprises a data field that comprises a display dynamic range indication of the display (107). The display dynamic range indication comprises at least one luminance specification for the display. A dynamic range processor (203) is arranged to generate an output image by applying a dynamic range transform to the encoded image in response to the display dynamic range indication. An output (205) outputs an output image signal comprising the output image to the display. The transform may furthermore be performed in response to a target display reference indicative of a dynamic range of display for which the encoded image is encoded. The invention may be used to generate an improved High Dynamic Range (HDR) image from e.g. a Low Dynamic Range (LDR) image, or vice versa.
REPRODUCTION DEVICE REPRODUCTION METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
The present technology relates to a reproduction device, a reproduction method, and a recording medium that enable content having a wide dynamic range of brightness to be displayed with an appropriate brightness. A recording medium, on which the reproduction device of an aspect of the present technology performs reproduction, records coded data of an extended video that is a video having a second brightness range that is wider than a first brightness range, brightness characteristic information that represents a brightness characteristic of the extended video, and brightness conversion definition information used when performing a brightness conversion of the extended video to a standard video that is a video having the first brightness range. The reproduction device outputs data of the extended video after adding frame information including the brightness characteristic information to frame data when information acquired from a display device that is to be an output destination of the video includes information representing a display performance of the extended video, and when no information representing the display performance of the extended video is included, outputs the data of the standard video. The present technology can be applied to a player that reproduces content.
Recording medium, playback method, and playback device
A recording medium includes a video stream of a standard-luminance range and a video stream of high-luminance range, which are used selectively in accordance with a playback environment. The recording medium also includes a subtitle stream of the standard-luminance range and a subtitle stream of the high-luminance range, which are used selectively in accordance with the playback environment. A playlist file includes a management region where playback control information relating to a main stream is stored, and includes an extended region. The management region stores first playback control information specifying playing of the video stream of the high-luminance range and the subtitle stream of the high-luminance range in combination. The extended region stores second playback control information specifying playing of the video stream of the standard-luminance range and the subtitle stream of the standard-luminance range in combination.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATICALLY GENERATING A VIDEO FROM AN ONLINE PRODUCT REPRESENTATION
A method and a system for automatically generating an edited video based on at least one product image and product meta-data provided herein. The method may include the following steps: obtaining the at least one product image and product meta-data linked to one of a plurality of products represented by the at least one product image; automatically analyzing a content of said product images by a computer processor, to yield product content visual analysis; selecting a product visualization instruction set from a plurality of product visualization instruction sets; automatically generating an edited video by applying the product visualization instruction set to the at least one product image and product meta-data; and modifying the edited video based on the product content visual analysis, wherein said modifying affects an attribute of at least some of the product meta-data.
Systems and methods for interactive program guides with personal video recording features
Methods and systems that provide enhanced personal video recorder (PVR) and interactive television program guide (IPG) functionality are provided. An interactive television application (application) may be implemented to provide such functionality.
Remote access of media items
Methods and systems that facilitate the downloading of media items to a first network device from a second network device are disclosed. A plurality of media items are identified Media item metadata associated with the plurality of media items is obtained from the second network device and stored on the first network device. Media item content data associate with a first subset of the plurality of media items is obtained from the second network device and stored on the first network device. In this manner, only media item metadata associate with a second subset of the plurality of media items is stored on the first network device.
