Medicament Injection Device
The present disclosure relates to medicament injection devices. An injection device includes: a movable dosage programming component comprising a rotary encoder system having a predefined angular periodicity, a sensor arrangement including a first optical sensor configured to detect movement of the movable dosage programming component relative to the sensor arrangement during dosing of a medicament, wherein the first optical sensor is configured to operate in a strobe-sampling mode at a first frequency, a second optical sensor configured to detect movement of the rotary encoder system relative to the second optical sensor wherein the second optical sensor is configured to operate in a strobe-sampling mode at a second frequency lower than the first frequency, and a processor arrangement configured to, based on the detected movement, determine a medicament dosage administered by the injection device.
Optical encoding system compensating assembly tolerance
There is provided an optical encoding system including a processor, and a photodiode array and a code disk opposite to each other. The photodiode array includes a detection photodiode group and a calibration photodiode group. If there is a position deviation between the photodiode array and the code disk, the processor determines whether to utilize detection signals of the calibration photodiode group according to phase shifts between detection signals outputted by the detection photodiode group so as to eliminate the phase shifts.
Linear encoder force transducer
In implementations of a linear encoder force transducer, an encoder component generates light that enters a light input window of an encoder strip, and reflective surfaces disperse the light internally within the encoder strip. The encoder strip has etched lines formed cross-width of the encoder strip for emitted light that exits the encoder strip. The encoder component has gradated slots through which the emitted light from the encoder strip is detected by an array of photo transistors, each of the gradated slots corresponding to one of the photo transistors in the array of photo transistors. An encoder module can determine a linear displacement, such as representative of a force applied to a pen tip of a computer input pen, based on one or more of the photo transistors detecting the emitted light as the etched lines of the encoder strip move relative to the gradated slots of the encoder component.
Optical position-measuring device
An optical position-measuring device includes a measuring graduation having a measuring graduation period and a scanner movable relative to the measuring graduation. The scanner projects a light pattern having alternating bright and dark regions with a light pattern period onto the measuring graduation. The measuring graduation period differs from the light pattern period such that interaction of the light pattern with the measuring graduation produces a vernier pattern having bright regions and dark regions. The measuring graduation is a phase grating having a line-to-space ratio different from 1:1 and a phase shift between lines and spaces selected such that the zeroth diffraction order is suppressed. The position-measuring device is configured such that, at a position at which the zeroth diffraction order of a bright region is suppressed, a higher diffraction order is deflected and impinges on a detector array in a bright region of the vernier pattern.
ENCODER APPARATUS
An encoder apparatus including a scale and a readhead including a sensor including an array of sensor elements for detecting a scale signal falling on the sensor, configured such that the sensor elements' outputs that are used to determine the relative position of the scale and readhead are weighted such that the influence of the sensor elements on the determined relative position of the scale and readhead varies across the array according to a predetermined non-rectangular window function that is configured to reduce the adverse effect of undesirable frequencies in the scale signal so as to thereby reduce the encoder apparatus' sub-divisional error.

Displacement detecting device and scale
A scale has marks whose pitch interval changes along a measurement direction in a manner that can be approximated to a quadratic or higher-order polynomial. A comparing unit calculates a difference between first relative position information and second relative position information per unit displacement in a position where a first displacement detecting unit is arranged. Then, an absolute position computing unit computes an absolute position in the measurement direction with respect to the scale based on absolute position information and the relative position information of at least one of the first relative position information and the second relative position information, and outputs the absolute position.
