Flow dampener in flow measurement system
A flow dampener for dampening pulsation in a fluid flow includes a body shell, a flexible membrane, and two flow ports. The body shell has an interior surface and an elongate groove formed on the interior surface. The flexible membrane is sealed to the interior surface of the body shell and covers the elongate groove. In some embodiments, the flexible membrane is over-molded onto the body shell. The flexible membrane cooperates with the elongate groove to form an elongate flow path for the fluid flow. The flexible membrane has a thickness in a range from 0.5 mm to 6 mm. As the membrane is flexible, it vibrates as the fluid flows through the elongate flow path, absorbs kinetic energy in the fluid flow, and thereby dampens pulsation in the fluid flow.
MASS FLOW METER
A mass flow meter is disclosed. The mass flow meter has a tubular housing (250) extending along a longitudinal axis and configured to receive a flow of fluid (351) therethrough. A flexible plate (352) extends along at least a part of the tubular housing and is at least partially coupled to an interior wall of the tubular housing at opposed longitudinal ends of the flexible plate such that the flexible plate is able to vibrate in torsion. At least one electromagnetic actuator system (302, 303) is configured to apply at least two oscillating torques to the flexible plate sufficient to vibrate the flexible plate in torsion. At least two sensor systems (301, 304) are configured to measure oscillations of the flexible plate as a function of time at locations arising from the at least two applied oscillating torques. A method for measuring mass flow through the at least one tubular housing is also disclosed.
Mode splitting resonator for coriolis flowmeter balance bar
A mode splitter (300) for a balance bar (150) of a Coriolis flow meter (100) is disclosed. The mode splitter (300) comprises a mass portion (302), and a first coupling portion (304a) coupled to the mass portion (302). The first coupling portion (304a) has a first stiffness in a drive direction (Y) and a second stiffness direction in an orthogonal direction (Z), and the orthogonal direction (Z) is orthogonal to both the drive direction (Y) and a longitudinal direction of the balance bar (150). The second stiffness is different than the first stiffness.
STABILIZED MODE SPLITTING FIN SENSOR
An embodiment of a fin sensor is disclosed. The embodiment of the fin sensor has a base, the base coupled to a first fin and a second fin, the fin sensor further having at least two transducers coupled to the fins, the first fin being coupled to the second fin by at least one fin coupler.
Process monitoring device
A process monitoring device includes: a measuring tube module having at least one measuring tube through which a medium can flow; a receptacle module having a receptacle, wherein the measuring tube module can be inserted into the receptacle, wherein the measuring tube module can be mechanically separably connected to the receptacle module; and a system for biotechnological applications, wherein the system has a housing, wherein the housing has a housing wall, which delimits a housing interior, wherein the housing wall has a cover, wherein the cover has an opening, wherein the receptacle module, in particular the receptacle, extends through the opening into the housing interior.
VIBRATING TYPE FLUID FLOW METER COMPRISING A FLOW TUBE BUMPER
A transducer assembly 200 for a vibrating meter 5 having meter electronics 20 is provided according to an embodiment. The transducer assembly 200 comprises a coil portion 204A comprising a coil bobbin 220 and a coil 222 wound around the coil bobbin 220. A magnet portion 204B comprises a magnet. The coil portion 204A and the magnet portion 204B are constrained in both the x and y axis of travel, such that the coil portion 204A is prevented from colliding with the magnet portion 204B.
Determining a vapor pressure of a fluid in a meter assembly
A vibratory meter (5) for determining a vapor pressure of a fluid is provided. The vibratory meter (5) includes a meter assembly (10) having a fluid, and a meter electronics (20) communicatively coupled to the meter assembly (10). The vibratory meter (5) is configured to determine a vapor pressure of the fluid in the meter assembly (10) based on a static pressure of the fluid in the meter assembly (10).
