SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SPIN LABELING IN MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING
Systems and methods are provided for producing an image of a subject using a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system. The method includes designing a saturation- based labeling pulse sequence for an MRI process that includes radio-frequency (RF) pulses and gradients forming a ratio of RF slice-selection gradient to time-averaged gradient that maintains multiple aliased labeling planes within an envelope of the RF pulses. The method also includes performing the MRI process to acquire image data from the subject using the saturation-based labeling pulse sequence and reconstructing a saturation-based spin labeled images of the subject using image data.
MAPPING PERITUMORAL INFILTRATION AND PREDICTION OF RECURRENCE USING MULTI-PARAMETRIC MAGNETIC RESONANCE FINGERPRINTING RADIOMICS
Radiomic analysis of multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (“MRI”) and magnetic resonance fingerprinting (“MRF”) data enhances delineation and mapping of tumor regions. Radiomic features are extracted from MRI and MRF tumor images. Distinct tumor regions, including but not limited to necrotic core, enhancing tumor, and peritumoral white matter, are segmented and mapped. Whole tumor as well as tumor region characteristics are evaluated. Tumors can also be differentiated and classified by pathology, grading, staging, and so on. Tumor infiltration into peritumoral white matter regions can also be mapped for recurrence prediction

MEDICAL DATA PROCESSING APPARATUS, MEDICAL DATA PROCESSING METHOD, AND MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING APPARATUS
According to one embodiment, a medical data processing apparatus includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry acquires imaging data acquired by executing spoiled gradient echo imaging and coherent gradient echo imaging by using multiple flip angles. The processing circuitry generates a low-rank approximate image set, which is a set of low-rank approximated images from the imaging data. The processing circuitry reconstructs one or more parameter maps using the above low-rank approximate image set and a related to water exchange in a biological tissue, the multi-pool model including plural free waters and bound water that performs magnetization exchange with those free waters.
Systems, compositions and devices for <i>in vivo </i>magnetic resonance imaging of lungs using perfluorinated gas mixtures
Systems and methods for generating MRI images of the lungs and/or airways of a subject using a medical grade gas mixture comprises between about 20-79% inert perfluorinated gas and oxygen gas. The images are generated using acquired .sup.19F magnetic resonance image (MRI) signal data associated with the perfluorinated gas and oxygen mixture.
MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING APPARATUS AND MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING METHOD
A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes sequence controlling circuitry and processing circuitry. The sequence controlling circuitry executes (i) a first pulse sequence in which a spatially selective Inversion recovery (IR) pulse and a spatially non-selective IR pulse are applied, and (ii) a second pulse sequence in which the spatially non-selective IR pulse is applied without applying the spatially selective IR pulse, while varying the first TI period, with respect to a plurality of first TI periods. The sequence controlling circuitry executes (iii) the third pulse sequence in which the spatially selective IR pulse and the spatially non- selective IR pulse are applied, and (iv) the fourth pulse sequence in which the spatially non-selective IR pulse is applied without applying the spatially selective IR pulse. The processing circuitry generates a magnetic resonance image of an imaged region based on data obtained from the third pulse sequence and the fourth pulse sequence.
