The protective cap has an attachment feature enabling a pull cord to attach to the protective cap. The protective cap has a body including an exterior surface and a receptacle formed in the body and configured to receive a portion of the fiber optic cable, and the attachment feature. The attachment feature includes a cavity formed in a tip of the body and at least two openings formed in the exterior surface of the body and connected to the cavity.

Optical connector assembly comprising a shutter

The invention is directed to a connector assembly (1) comprising a first connector part (2) which is interconnectable to a second connector part (3). The first connector part (2) comprises a ferrule (13) which is encompassed by a shutter frame (17) and a thereto attached shutter (16). The shutter (16) is arranged movable with respect to the ferrule (13) in a first direction (x) between a closed position, in which the shutter (16) encompasses a connection face (37) of the ferrule (13), and an open position, in which the connection face (37) is set free from the shutter (16). The shutter frame (17) and/or the shutter (16) comprises at least one locating surface (36) which during mating interacts with the second connector part (3) such that the shutter (16) is displaced relative to the ferrule (13) from the closed to the open position.

Provided is an optical fiber adapter. The optical fiber adapter includes an adapter body, a shielding gate, a sleeve, and an elastic shield. One side wall of the adapter body is provided with a long groove. The shielding gate is disposed at a lower port of the adapter body. The shielding gate includes one end connected to the lower port of the adapter body and one end facing away from the lower port of the adapter body. The sleeve is sleeved on a periphery of a lower end portion of the adapter body. The elastic shield is disposed in the long groove. The elastic shield is fitted with one end portion of the shielding gate facing toward the elastic shield. The shielding gate, the sleeve, and the elastic shield form an anti-light-leakage cavity on an optical fiber access side of the optical fiber adapter.

A dust cap adapted to fit within a fiber optic adapter. The dust cap includes a dust cap body having a back adapter end and a front knob end. The dust cap body is shaped such that the back adapter end has a press fit with a fiber optic adapter. An opening accommodates an adapter ferrule and a flange is secured in an adapter by a stabilizer and projection. The dust cap also transmits laser light along a longitudinal axis of the solid mass of the dust cap body from just beyond the back adapter end to just beyond the front knob end.

FIBER STRUCTURE, PULSE LASER DEVICE, AND SUPERCONTINUUM LIGHT SOURCE

A fiber structure includes first and second optical fibers disposed such that end portions thereof butt, a sheet-shaped saturable absorber including a carbon nanotube and disposed between the end portion of the first optical fiber and the end portion of the second optical fiber, and a housing internally accommodating the end portion of the first optical fiber and the end portion of the second optical fiber. A space in the housing including the saturable absorber is airtight.

The present invention provides a latch structure arranged in an optical receptacle. The latch structure comprises a supporting element and a first clip structure, wherein the supporting element is assembled with the housing of the optical receptacle. The first clip structure is formed on the supporting element for retaining the optical connector inserting into the optical receptacle. The main idea of the present invention is that when the latch structure assembling with the optical receptacle, there is no interaction force between the first clip structure and optical receptacle so as to maintain the clipping force of the first clip structure acting on the optical connector.
