An optical fiber connector includes an inner shell, an outer shell, and a handle. The outer shell is fitted over the inner shell. Two clamping arms are respectively extending from two ends of a side portion of the handle. Accordingly, since the handle and the outer shell are in a point-contact configuration, when a user pulls the handle, the handle drives the outer shell to move backwardly via the configuration and further compress the spring in the inner shell. Therefore, the connector can be detached from the fiber adapter. Conversely, when the user pushes the handle, the push block on the handle pushes the tail cap due to the mating between the push block and the tail cap, so that the optical fiber connector can be inserted into the fiber adapter.

Field terminated fiber optic connector

A field installable fiber optic connector for use with polymer optical fibers includes a housing that releasably connects to another optical device. A mechanical termination assembly is located in the housing to mechanically terminate a plurality of individual fibers of the polymer optical fibers. Ferrules are supported by the housing. Each ferrule is positioned to receive one of the individual fibers from the mechanical termination assembly.

This disclosure generally relates to high-speed fiber optic networks that use light signals to transmit data over a network. The disclosed subject matter includes devices and methods relating to ferrule assemblies and/or ferrule alignment assemblies. In some aspects, the disclosed devices and methods may relate to a ferrule assembly including: optical fibers, an upper clamp member and a lower clamp member configured to retain the optical fibers that are positioned between the upper and lower clamp members, and a ferrule body surrounding at least a portion of the upper and lower clamp members; and an alignment sleeve including a sleeve cavity configured to receive the ferrule body such that the ferrule assembly is capable of being longitudinally repositioned with respect to the alignment sleeve.

Lucent connector typed duplex connector

A LC-typed duplex connector includes a connecting head assembly, a boot assembly and a handle. The handle includes a first elastic structure portion, a second elastic structure portion and a hand shank portion. When the second elastic structure portion is detached from the boot assembly, the first elastic structure portion is detached from the connecting head assembly under the action of the hand shank portion, achieving the detachment and alternate side operation of the LC-typed duplex connector. The detachable handle can efficiently fasten the connecting head assembly with the boot assembly together. The first and second elastic structure portions are easier to detach from the connecting head assembly and the boot assembly respectively under the action of the hand shank portion. Moreover, the hand shank portion is matched with the tail end of the boot assembly, thereby improving efficiently the space utilization of the panel.
