Fiber optic cable connector and adapter housing
The embodiments described herein are directed to a fiber optic cable and a fiber optic adapter housing. The cable comprises a connector body that houses a plurality of fiber portions. The connector body has a face comprising a plurality of rows of apertures for exposing respective ends of the fiber portions. Each aperture of a particular row are diagonally offset from nearest aperture(s) of an adjacent row. The housing comprises first slots having a first orientation and opposing second slots having a second orientation. The first slots are configured for the insertion of cables having the first orientation, and the second slots are configured for the insertion of cables having the second orientation. Such a configuration enables a shuffle function, where a device coupled to a cable inserted into a first slot is communicatively coupled to other devices each connected to a respective cable inserted into a respective second slot.
Optical connector
An optical fiber connector assembly comprises at least one connector having a latching arm for coupling to an adapter, and a remote release tab having a protrusion configured to cooperate with the adapter to depress said latching arm when the remote release tab is pulled relative to the adapter. The optical fiber connector assembly may further be configured to allow reversing its polarity.
Tool-less service cable connector and corresponding systems and methods
A system includes a housing (105) that includes one or more ports (113) through which electrical connections to one or more electronic components situated within the housing can be made from exterior of the housing. At least one enclosure bushing (204) is coupled to at least one port. The enclosure bushing includes a cylindrical service jacket receiver (207) defining a lumen (208), a flange (212) abutting a portion of the housing, and one or more lugs (216,217,302,303) extending from a portion of the cylindrical service jacket receiver. A coupling nut (205) having one or more circumferential lug receivers (702,703,704,805) applies a compression force to the frustoconical weather gasket when the one or more lugs engaging the locking notch (708) of the one or more circumferential lug receivers.
Small form factor fiber optic connector with crossed angle polished ferrules and polishing cap therefor
A fiber optic connector housing has a first portion to receive fiber optic ferrule holders and fiber optic ferrules. The fiber optic connector housing also includes a second portion for use during polishing and before one of the fiber optic ferrule holders is rotated 180°. The second portion is removed to allow for rotation and a third portion is attached to the first portion for connection with another fiber optic connector or assembly.
Lever actuated latch arm for releasing a fiber optic connector from a receptacle port and method of use
A fiber optic connector deploys a latch lever release with an elastic rib. When the latch lever release is depressed down or toward the optical axis of the connector, a hook seated within a recess of the connector outer housing, the hook is lifted out of the recess thereby allowing the connector to be removed from the adapter port. A pivot point is formed between the main body of the latch lever release and the connector outer housing. Depressing the latch lever release distal of the pivot point at the trigger portion displaces the hook from the connector thereby allowing the user to remove the connector from a receptacle port, such as an adapter port.
Optical connector and module thereof
The present invention provides an optical connector electrically coupled to an optical receptacle. The optical connector comprises a connector body, and a sliding member. The connector body inserted into the optical receptacle comprises a housing and a boot structure detachably arranged in the housing. The sliding member is slidably coupled to the housing wherein the boot structure is restrained inside the housing or is removed from the housing according to a sliding position of the sliding member.
Submarine device, method of configuring submarine device, and submarine cable system
In an aspect of the present disclosure, a submarine device includes a main tail cable connected to a submarine cable, a first branch tail cable including a first group of optical fibers among a plurality of optical fibers included in the main tail cable, a second branch tail cable including a second group of optical fibers among the plurality of optical fibers, a branch member that couples the main tail cable to the first and second branch tail cables and including therein a through hole for branching the plurality of optical fibers included in the main tail cable into the first group and the second group, and a device main body including a first introduction part for introducing the first branch tail cable into the device main body and a second introduction part for introducing the second branch tail cable into the device main body.
Narrow width optical connector and optical receptacle
A connection system may include fiber optic connectors and an optical receptacle into which the connectors are plugged. The fiber optic connectors are constructed so that the width of the connectors is small. Eight fiber optic connectors can be received in an opening of a QSFP style transceiver.
FIBER MANAGEMENT ENCLOSURE FOR A FIBER OPTIC CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF USE
A managed fiber optic connector assembly formed with an optical fiber management enclosure. The optical fiber management enclosure is formed with a back body as one-piece to form an integrated fiber optic management enclosure, or fiber optic management enclosure is inserted into the back body form a two-piece enclosure. The fiber management enclosure has a plural of channels, for example, an upper channel and a lower channel that retain, separate and guide a plural of optical fibers that are accepted through a port at a distal end of the managed fiber optic connector assembly.
MODULARIZED INSERT ASSEMBLY FOR BACKPLANE CONNECTOR
A connector for attachment to a planar surface, said connector comprising a shell housing configured for attachment to said planar surface. an insert housing connected to said shell and defining two or more insert ferrule openings, at least one retainer attached to said insert housing and defining two or more retainer ferrule opening aligned with said insert ferrule openings, and two or more ferrule assemblies disposed within said two or more insert ferrule openings.
