The adhesive structure is located between the first curved substrate and the curved coverlens and is laterally located between the first sidewall and the fifth sidewall, between the second sidewall and the sixth sidewall, and between the third sidewall and the seventh sidewall.
Display apparatus
Disclosed herein is a display apparatus. The display apparatus includes a backlight unit configured to emit light, a display panel positioned in front of the backlight unit, and an optical film positioned in front of the display panel. The optical film includes a base layer positioned adjacent to the display panel, a first refractive layer positioned in front of the base layer and having a pattern including a first inclined portion totally reflecting some of light waves emitted from the backlight unit, and a second refractive layer positioned in front of the first refractive layer and having a lower refractive index than the first refractive layer.
Display panel
A display panel is provided and includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a light shielding layer, a scattering pattern, a sealant, and a display medium layer. The second substrate is opposite to the first substrate. The light shielding layer is disposed on a top surface of the first substrate away from the second substrate. The scattering pattern is disposed underneath the light shielding layer. The sealant is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate and shielded by the light shielding layer. The display medium layer is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate and surrounded by the sealant.
DIRECTIONAL COLOR OLED DEVICE
A monochrome display is converted into a color display by including an electrically controllable planar color filter plate switchable between primary colors and operating the display in a color field sequential mode. Hence the requirement for a color switchable illumination source is eliminated. For example the illumination source may be a white OLED, an illumination type which, in combination with a microlens array, has proven well suited for directional displays. Further the need for a color mask is eliminated, thereby eliminating problems of moiree interference with a microlens array and further eliminating problems of diffraction patterns in infrared images captured through the display for example for observer tracking purposes. The electrically controllable planar color filter plate may comprise two wavelength dependent wave retarders and two liquid crystal cells.
LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND DISPLAY APPARATUS
A liquid crystal display device includes a light source, a light collection part, a liquid crystal part, and an anisotropic diffusion layer. The light source emits light. The light collection part collects the light emitted from the light source in the front direction of the liquid crystal display device so that, when an image is displayed, the light collecting property in a left-right direction is different from the light collecting property in an updown direction. The liquid crystal part controls a transmission state of the light collected by the light collection part using a liquid crystal. The anisotropic diffusion layer anisotropically diffuses the light transmitted through the liquid crystal part.
