A pixel array may be illuminated with backlight illumination from a backlight. The backlight may include a two-dimensional array of light-emitting diodes, with each light-emitting diode being placed in a respective cell. Different light-emitting diodes may have unique brightness magnitudes based on the content of the given display frame. Driver integrated circuits may control one or more associated light-emitting diodes to have a desired brightness level. The driver integrated circuits may be formed in an active area of the backlight. The driver integrated circuits may be arranged in groups that are daisy chained together. A digital signal (that includes information such as addressing information) may be propagated through the group of driver integrated circuits. To manage thermal performance of the backlight, the backlight may include a thermally conductive layer and/or a heat sink structure. To increase the efficiency of the backlight, the backlight may include one or more reflective layers.

DISPLAY DEVICE

A display device of the disclosure includes: a display panel; a decorative member that holds the display panel; and a light guide plate that has rigidity and includes an edge surface attached to the decorative member.

A backlight module includes a mold frame, a light guide board, an optic film, a light source, and a heat dissipative sheet. The light guide board has a light incident surface and a light exit surface that is arranged adjacent to the light incident surface. The light source is arranged opposite to the light incident surface of the light guide board. The optic film is attached to the light exit surface. The light source and the light guide board are mounted inside the mold frame. The light source is fixed by a double-sized adhesive tape to the mold frame. The heat dissipative sheet is attached to a surface of the double-sized adhesive tape that is opposite to the mold frame and a projection of the light source is cast to the heat dissipative sheet. A liquid crystal panel and a display screen are also provided.

A display module has therein a heat dissipater, an installation frame, a LCD plate, an optical membrane, a diffusion plate and a light board respectively and sequentially received inside the installation frame, a first space defined between the LCD panel and the optical membrane. A heat dissipater has a first inlet, a first outlet both of which are defined in the installation frame and form a first airway inside the first space and a screen respectively provided to the first inlet and the first outlet. The formation of the airway facilitates air convection inside the display module, which helps dissipate heat generated from the operation of the display module.

The lighting device also has light guide parts, each of which has a cylindrical shape, inserted through the through holes of the bottom part of the housing for guiding the light emitted from the light sources, respectively, and diffusion lenses provided inside of the housing for diffusing the light guided by the light guide parts, respectively. Each of the light guide parts is hollow and configured to reflect the light by an inner surface thereof so as to guide reflected light to an associated diffusion lens.

The present disclosure provides a backlight module and a display apparatus. In one embodiment, the backlight module includes: a frame body defining a cavity therein and having an opening communicated with the cavity; and a light strip disposed at the opening of the frame body and detachably connected to the frame body, wherein the light strip comprises a lamp bead that is disposed toward the cavity through the opening.
