A control system for one or more ablutionary devices includes a mixer valve having a first inlet and a second inlet configured to receive a supply of hot and cold water, and an outlet configured to output cold water, hot water or a mixture thereof as an output stream for suppling water to the one or more ablutionary devices downstream of the mixer valve; and a controller. The controller is configured obtain one or more current operating signals related to the flow rate of the output stream produced by the mixer valve and compare each of the one or more current operating signals to a corresponding historical operating signal, the historical operating signal being an operating signal previously obtained by the controller, and to generate a diagnostic signal based on the comparison.

A control system for one or more ablutionary devices includes a valve having one or valve members each arranged to receive a respective water supply via one or more supply inlets, and an output for suppling output water to the one or more ablutionary devices downstream of the valve, the one or more valve members being arranged to control the flow of water between the one or more supply inlets and the output; one or more temperature sensors arranged to generate a respective temperature signal indicative of the temperature of any one or more of the water supply upstream of any one or more of the valve members, and the output water downstream of the one or more valve members; and a controller in communication with the one or more temperature sensors. The controller is configured to obtain one or more temperature signals from the one or more temperature sensors when the one or more ablutionary devices are not in use and to generate an indicator signal based on a comparison of the one or more temperature signals to one or more thresholds.

CONTROL SYSTEM FOR ONE OR MORE ABLUTIONARY DEVICES

A control system for one or more ablutionary devices, comprising: a mixer valve having a first inlet and a second inlet configured to receive a supply of hot and cold water, and an outlet configured to output cold water, hot water or a mixture thereof as an output stream for suppling water to the one or more ablutionary devices downstream of the mixer valve; and a controller in communication with the mixer valve. The controller is configured to control the mixer valve according to one or more target output water properties; obtain one or more operating signals each related to an operating parameter of the control system; and generate, based on the one or more operating signals, a diagnostic signal that indicates an associated failure mode of the water supply if the mixer valve cannot be controlled to reach the one or more target water output properties.

The invention relates to a mixing cartridge (1) for generating mixed water with a mixing temperature, having a hot water inlet (2) for hot water, having a cold water inlet (3) for cold water, having a mixing chamber (4), in which the hot and cold water can be mixed, and having a mixed water outlet (5) through which the mixed water can leave the mixing cartridge (1). According to the invention, the mixing cartridge (1) has at least one vortex element (6), which is arranged and/or designed in such a way that the water flowing through the mixing cartridge in a flow direction can be made to rotate, such that the water can form a water vortex.

A retractable blocking system temporarily blocks the temperature adjustment of the mixed fluid in intermediate position of the control member between the end adjustment positions, so as to cut the overtravel in half in the intermediate position.

Faucets

A faucet includes a body that extends between a first end and a second end, and is arranged to receive a mixing cartridge. A diaphragm valve is provided in the body, and includes a flexible diaphragm having a first side and a second side, the flexible diaphragm being moveable to open and close the diaphragm valve to control a flow of water to an outlet of the faucet. A fluid bypass, separate from the flexible diaphragm, is in fluid communication between the first side and the second side of the flexible diaphragm. A bypass valve member is moveable to open and close the fluid bypass to vary a pressure differential across the flexible diaphragm, to open and close the diaphragm valve. A push operated control member is arranged to move the bypass valve member at the second end of the body.

INTEGRATED RECIRCULATION PUMP FOR NON-CONDENSING WATER HEATER

A hot water circulation system comprises a water heater having a cold-water inlet and a hot water outlet. A water pump circulates water through the water heater to produce hot water. The hot water is circulated to a thermal bypass valve, which is configured to close when hot water contacts a heat activated seal. A bypass circuit is coupled between the hot water outlet and the cold water inlet of the water heater. The bypass circuit prevents hot water from circulating from the hot water outlet to the cold-water inlet when the thermal bypass valve is open and promotes circulating hot water from the hot water outlet to the cold water inlet when the thermal bypass valve is closed. Upon a temperature sensor sensing hot water entering the cold-water inlet, the water heater turns of the water pump.

Thermostatic cartridge for a mixing valve for mixing a cold incoming fluid and a hot incoming fluid in a determined proportion to form a mixture. A head includes a housing extending along a central axis, and a thermostatic regulating assembly. A regulating system defines an abutment surface adjustable in axial translation with respect to the head. A thermostatic system includes a heat sensitive first portion over which the mixture can flow, and a second portion to abut axially against the abutment surface. The first portion can move the second portion axially between plural positions relative to the first portion, the relative positions determined by the mixing temperature. A slide mounted on the first portion moves axially relative to the head for modifying the determined proportion, and may slide between a normal position and plural overtravel positions axially closer to the head than the normal position.

Faucet assembly with integrated anti-scald device

Improved fluid supply assemblies for fluid systems are provided. In exemplary embodiments, the present disclosure provides for improved fluid supply assemblies and related features, systems and methods of use. More particularly, the present disclosure provides for advantageous faucet assemblies (e.g., electrically or mechanically actuated faucet assemblies) having an integrated anti-scald device and having an integrated temperature mixing valve. The present disclosure provides for a faucet assembly having an integrated temperature mixing valve, and/or having an integrated anti-scald device configured to stop the inlet flow of hot water in the event the mixed outlet water temperature exceeds a user-selected set point. Advantageous faucet assemblies of the present disclosure can prevent scalding as defined by ASSE 1070. Improved, convenient and effective systems and methods for utilizing improved faucet assemblies in fluid systems are provided.
