A wound healing and tissue repair composition with low molecular weight collagen and bioactive glass is provided. The wound healing and tissue repair composition with low molecular weight collagen and bioactive glass is a medicinal composition for facilitating the growth, protection and healing of tissues and cells in animals and humans. The main ingredients of the formulated composition are collagen having a molecular weight of about 1,000 Da or less and bioactive glass, which can be combined with polysulfated glycosaminoglycans, hyaluronic acid or salts thereof, or a glucosamine salt, and mixtures thereof. The composition may include collagen from multiple sources, such as bovine sourced collagen or marine sourced collagen and may further include hydrolyzed whey. The collagen may be hydrolyzed collagen, native collagen, or a mixture thereof.
COMPOSITION OF FISH SKIN COLLAGEN PEPTIDES AND USE THEREOF AS A DRUG
The invention relates to a composition of peptides having an aminogram in which: glycine, hydroxyproline and proline are in molar quantities such that the ratio of each quantity to the sum of the molar quantities of the amino acids in the composition is comprised between 20.0% and 24.5%, between 6.0% and 12.0% and between 10.6% and 14.6%, respectively; the peptide composition comprising a quantity of peptides with a molecular weight lower than 1400 Da such that the ratio of said quantity to the quantity of peptides in the composition is less than 40%; the molecular weight and the quantity of peptides in the composition being determined by exclusion chromatography. The invention likewise relates to such a composition to be used as a drug. The invention further relates to such a composition to be used as a food supplement.

The present invention is in the fields of medicinal chemistry, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. The invention provides compositions comprising one or more collagen mimetic peptides, optionally attached to one or more therapeutic compounds or one or more imaging compounds, for use in methods of treating, preventing, ameliorating, curing and diagnosing certain diseases and physical disorders in humans and veterinary animals, as well as methods of manufacturing such composition. The invention also provides medical devices comprising one or more such compositions of the invention. The invention also provides methods of use of such compositions and devices in treating and diagnosing certain diseases and physical disorders in humans and veterinary animals, including ocular diseases or disorders, skin diseases or disorders, certain cancers, particularly intraluminal cancers, gastrointestinal diseases or disorders, genitourinary tract diseases or disorders, fibrotic diseases/disorders and rheumatic diseases/disorders.
TISSUE REPAIR AND WOUND HEALING COMPOSITION AND METHOD USING LOW MOLECULAR WEIGHT HYDROLYZED COLLAGEN
A tissue repair and wound healing composition with low molecular weight hydrolyzed collagen is provided. The wound healing composition with low molecular weight hydrolyzed collagen is a medicinal composition for facilitating the growth, protection and healing of tissues and cells in animals and humans. The main ingredient of the formulated composition is hydrolyzed collagen having a molecular weight of less than 1,000 Da, which can be combined with polysulfated glycosaminoglycans, hyaluronic acid or salts thereof, or a glucosamine salt, and mixtures thereof. The composition may include hydrolyzed collagen from multiple sources, such as bovine sourced hydrolyzed collagen or marine sourced hydrolyzed collagen and may further include hydrolyzed whey.
Method for alleviating arthritis with postbiotic extract
A method for alleviating arthritis includes administering to a subject in need thereof a postbiotic extract. The postbiotic extract is prepared by a process including the steps of providing a first material having a first isoelectric point ranging from pH 1 to pH 6 and a second material having a second isoelectric point ranging from pH 4 to pH 8, admixing the first material and a probiotic microorganism with water having a pH greater than the second isoelectric point, so as to forma mixture, adding the second material into the mixture and then adjusting a pH of the second material-added mixture to between the first and second isoelectric points so that a precipitate is formed, and subjecting the precipitate to a cell wall isolation treatment to obtain the postbiotic extract.
