ELECTRONIC PASSPORT SECURED AGAINST UNAUTHORIZED READING

A secured document, in the form of a booklet made up of at least one page that can be folded about a folding axis, includes a transponder provided with an electronic chip including memory for data storage and a transponder antenna. The secured document further includes two amplifier antennas, separate from the antenna of the transponder, arranged on pages of the booklet so that, in the open document position, one of the amplifier antennas amplifies the electromagnetic flux picked up by the antenna of the transponder to allow the document to communicate with a remote reader, and, in the closed document position, the amplifier antennas are configured so that the electromagnetic flux picked up by the antenna of the transponder is below a minimal threshold that allows the electronic chip to communicate with a remote reader.

PASSIVE RFID TAG WITH EMBEDDED SENSOR INTERFACE
20210174157 · 2021-06-10 ·

A CMOS analog sensor interface circuit embedded in a passive RFID platform can provide accurate data conversion from analog signals to their digital representations. This interface can also utilize the RFID platform to achieve wireless data transmission. The disclosed sensor interface circuit includes signal filtering, signal amplification, as well as signal digitization. These circuits are all designed under the constraints of low-power operation on a noisy silicon substrate. By using the disclosed circuit design, fully passive wireless sensing network that can integrate with heterogeneous sensors (resistance, voltage, current types) can be designed. The advantages of low-cost, small feature size, and the ability to interface with analog sensors can enable large-scale deployment of such kind of RFIDs, both for consumer electronics like in-door monitoring and industrial sensing applications like the grid, electric vehicle, motor, and other critical infrastructures.

The apparatus comprises: a pair of panel portions; a hinge portion defining an axis from which each of the panel portions extends, the hinge portion being coupled to each of the panel portions and adapted to permit pivotal movement of the panel portions relative to one another about the axis between a closed position wherein the panels overlay one another one another and an open position wherein the panels extend away from one another; a near field communication tag coupled to one of the panel portions; and a shield defined by RF blocking material coupled to the other of the panel portions. The tag and shield are positioned and adapted such that: the tag can be activated by the reader when the panels are in the open position; and the shield isolates the tag from the reader when the panels are in the closed position.

Multi radio frequency identification (RFID) device with selective activation of RFID tags

A wearable multi Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) device is disclosed. The wearable multi RFID device includes a container that includes an inner housing that further includes a plurality of fixed slots configured to receive a plurality of RFID tags. The container further includes an outer casing that at least partially encloses the inner housing circumferentially and is configured to slide around the inner housing in the container. The outer casing includes a layer of electromagnetic shielding material. The outer casing is further configured to shield the plurality of RFID tags from being scanned, at a first position and selectively expose one of the plurality of RFID tags for being scanned, at an associated second position from a plurality of second positions, based on mapping with at least one criterion defined by a user.
