The robot system further includes a control device including a second antenna for receiving the biometric authentication result transmitted from the RF tag, wherein the control device advances a process of the operation when the biometric authentication result indicates that the individual is the authorized person.

ENROLMENT CASE FOR SMART CARD
20200349408 · 2020-11-05 ·

Disclosed is a semi-rigid enrolment case for a smart card, formed by folding and gluing an envelope-like cardboard blank of the dimensions of the card. The case includes an electrical circuit printed directly on the cardboard of an inner surface. The circuit includes contact studs connected to a power supply interface and arranged to connect electrical contacts of the card to the power supply interface when the card is inserted into the case. A biometric sensor of the card remains accessible to the user when it is out of the case for making the enrolment. Through-openings are made in the cardboard on either side of contact stud lines and allow forming independent flexible areas, providing better contact between the studs and the electrical contacts of the card.

IC card and portable electronic device

According to one embodiment, an IC card includes an antenna, a charge unit, a memory, and a first processor. The charge unit is configured to be charged by a current induced electromagnetically in the antenna. The memory is configured to store processing execution information for discontinuously executing a plurality of processing. The first processor is configured to operate by a current from the charge unit, and discontinuously execute a plurality of processing by providing an interval based on the processing execution information.

Bioimpedance spoof detection

Embodiments relate to bioimpedence-based spoof detection in an optical biometric reader. For example, embodiments operate in context of a biometric reader having a platen integrated with substantially transparent bioimpedance source and receiver electrodes covered by a substantially transparent protective layer. A multi-frequency input signal can be injected from the source electrode into a purported skin site (through the protective layer), so that a response signal is received by the receiver electrode. The response signal is interrogated to formulate a dispersive bioimpedance response of the purported skin site to the input signal over multiple frequencies. A biometric spoof determination can then be made according to the dispersive bioimpedance response. The spoof determination can be used for spoof detection, presence detection, and/or other functions.

BIOMETRIC IMAGING DEVICE, BIOMETRIC IMAGING METHOD AND PROGRAM

A biometric imaging device is provided with: placement unit that supports a biological object, imaging unit that takes images of the biological object, and determining unit that determines whether or not the biological object is placed on the placement unit, based on whether or not a feature of the biological object has changed at a place where the placement unit and the biological object are in contact, in the image(s).

SMARTCARD INCLUDING A FINGERPRINT SENSOR
20200327388 · 2020-10-15 ·

A smartcard includes a fingerprint sensor and a detector circuit comprising at least first and second electrodes that are insulated from each other and that form an open circuit. The first electrode and the second electrode is arranged in such a manner that. When a user applies a first finger on the fingerprint sensor and uses a second finger to grip the smartcard, the first finger contacts the first electrode and the second finger contacts the second electrode so as to form a loop that closes the open circuit. The detector circuit further comprises a filter circuit connected to the first electrode and to the second electrode, a generator arranged to generate first signals across the terminals of the filter circuit, and processor means arranged to acquire second signals and, from the second signals, to detect whether the first and second fingers include a fake finger.

SECURE, REMOTE BIOMETRIC ENROLLMENT

Devices, systems, and methods facilitate enrollment of authenticating biometric data for authenticating an authorized user via a biometric sensor. A data input device and a power source are operatively coupled to a smart card including a fingerprint sensor. An activation code input by the user interacting with the data input device is compared with a predefined activation code, and if the detected activation code matches the predefined activation code, a fingerprint template is enrolled from fingerprint data received from the fingerprint sensor, all without transmitting data from either the power source or the data input device to any device other than the smart card.
