Transaction token that exhibits indication-related detectable changes on the transaction token
In certain embodiments, indication-related detectable changes on a transaction token may be facilitated. In some embodiments, a transaction card may determine a state of the transaction card (e.g., during an interaction with a transaction terminal). The transaction card may generate a signal related to a color based on the state of the transaction card and cause the signal to be transmitted to a change element of the transaction card. The change element may be configured such that the change element causes one or more edges or other portions of the transaction card to be (i) a first color in response to the signal being a first signal and (ii) a second color in response to the signal being a second signal. As an example, the portions of the transaction card may turn red when the signal is a first voltage and green when the signal is a second voltage.
ELECTRONIC CARD AND ELECTRONIC CARD MANUFACTURING METHOD
Provided is an electronic card and a manufacturing method therefor, and the electronic card may include: an electronic module which is configured to comprise an electronic circuit and a contact terminal on a thin film and comprises one or more electronic components; a lower core sheet which comprises an electronic module storage portion for storing the electronic module in a shape corresponding to an outer peripheral shape of the electronic module; and a middle core sheet which is stacked on the top of the lower core sheet storing the electronic module, comprises a component storage portion for storing some or all of the one or more electronic components provided in the electronic module, and is configured to have a sheet thickness equal to a thickness of a tallest component among the electronic components.
Energy aware processing load distribution system and method
A method for controlling a data center, comprising a plurality of server systems, each associated with a cooling system and a thermal constraint, comprising: a concurrent physical condition of a first server system; predicting a future physical condition based on a set of future states of the first server system; dynamically controlling the cooling system in response to at least the input and the predicted future physical condition, to selectively cool the first server system sufficient to meet the predetermined thermal constraint; and controlling an allocation of tasks between the plurality of server systems to selectively load the first server system within the predetermined thermal constraint and selectively idle a second server system, wherein the idle second server system can be recruited to accept tasks when allocated to it, and wherein the cooling system associated with the idle second server system is selectively operated in a low power consumption state.
PORTABLE IDENTIFICATION DEVICE, IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM USING ELECTRONIC PAPER AND OPERATION METHOD THEREOF
An identification system using electronic paper includes an external operation device and a portable identification device, the external operation device includes an external communication module for providing external display information; the portable identification device includes a wireless communication module, an electronic paper module, a timer module and a housing. The wireless communication module is configured to receive the external display information, and the electronic paper module includes a processing unit and a display unit. The processing unit is configured to drive the display unit according to the external display information so that the display unit displays an image including identification information and subsidiary information. The wireless communication module, the electronic paper module and the timer module are disposed in the housing so that the image is seen from the housing. The portable identification device, the identification system using electronic paper and the operation method thereof according to the instant disclosure increases the security and convenience of identification processes.
PAYMENT CARDS AND DEVICES WITH GIFT CARD, GLOBAL INTEGRATION, AND MAGNETIC STRIPE READER COMMUNICATION FUNCTIONALITY
A payment card (e.g., credit and/or debit card) or other device (e.g., mobile telephone) is provided with a magnetic emulator operable to communicate data to a magnetic stripe read-head. Gift cards may be inputted by a user into such a payment card or other device such that a user can combine gift cards. Similarly, a user be provided with a global payment account that can be utilized in multiple countries that have different standards for formatting data. A user may be provided with a default country (e.g., United States) but may have a way to select that the user is in a different country (e.g., Japan). Accordingly, a user may select that a Japanese data structure be transmitted through a magnetic stripe reader when the user is in Japan.
SMART CARD
