Data Logging with Indication of Violation

A method includes obtaining, by a processing module of a data logging device, a log command. The method further includes determining, by the processing module, whether to enter a finished mode for the data logging device based on a data logging condition. When not in the finished mode and in response to the log command, the method further includes obtaining, by the processing module, a measure of an environmental condition. The method further includes determining, by the processing module, whether the measure of the environmental condition is within an expected range. When the measure of the environmental condition is not within the expected range, the method further includes generating, by the processing module, an environmental violation signal when triggered.

A method and system for transacting with a removable marking element is disclosed. A removable marking element including credentials can be associated with an account. A user can activate and manage the account via a mobile device. The mobile device can access the account by providing a product identifier. A product identifier may be provided in removable marking element packaging. For example, the product identifier may be encoded in a machine readable code on the packaging.

VISUALLY, OPTICALLY AND ELECTRONICALLY READABLE FRANGIBLE DEVICE FOR AFFIXATION TO THE SKIN

A badge of the type comprising a substrate with a top side and a bottom side, an adhesive disposed on the bottom side for adhering the badge to a person, and a visually discernible material disposed on the top side for providing information, has a wireless device carrying first information secured directly or indirectly to said substrate. The visually discernible material comprises a first portion of visually discernible material and a second portion of visually discernible material. The first portion of visually discernible material is positioned, configured and dimensioned to communicate humanly perceptible and humanly readable second information. The second portion of visually discernible material carries third information encoded within the second portion of the visually discernible material and is positioned, configured and dimensioned to be scanned by an optical device in order to the read said third information encoded within the second portion of the visually discernible material. The substrate and/or said wireless device is frangible.

The present invention relates generally to enabling payment transactions to be conducted and particularly to a method of, a system for, and a server computer for enabling a payment transaction to be conducted in a linked, integrated, interchangeable payment system (LIIPS) including a passageway payment system using a radio frequency identification (RFID) sticker, or any device similar to it, which is linked to payment devices such as credit cards, debit cards, prepaid cards, or payment-enabled mobile phones, and further referenced to one or more payment accounts such as credit accounts, debit accounts, and prepaid accounts associated with the payment devices for easy payment of toll fees and other charges in passageways such as tollways or similar facilities such as, for example, for ferries, roll-on/roll-off (RORO) ships, parking areas, parks, events areas, events centers, and the like. Further, the payment device can be engaged in a point-of-sale (POS) transaction at any POS system which may include an RFID interrogator for interrogating the RFID sticker as and when a vehicle to which the RFID sticker is secured moves into the periphery of the RFID interrogator located, for example, in a tollway.

FLEXIBLE RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION TAGS

Flexible, stretchable RFID tags are formed by a pocket that is formed from one or more substrates and layers of adhesive, and an electronic circuit that is located within this pocket. The RFID tags can include a stretchable substrate and an electronic circuit attached to the stretchable substrate by one or a finite number of discrete spaced apart attachment locations. When the pocket is formed by relatively thick adhesive layers adhering together one or more flexible substrates to form an internal cavity, the electronic circuit is located within this cavity and either is not adhered to any of the substrates of the cavity, and is free to move about within the cavity, or the electronic circuit can be attached to a substrate by a thin layer of adhesive.
