The present application relates to the technical field of display and provides a display panel and an image control device and an image control method thereof; wherein, the image control device includes a high-voltage gamma module, a low-voltage gamma module and a first selection module.

According to an aspect, a display device includes first to fourth sub-pixels. The first to fourth sub-pixels are each divided into N (N2) sub-divided pixels having different areas and can perform N-bit gradation display. Gradation display for a mixed color combining two types out of the first to fourth sub-pixels includes: the N-bit gradation display including 2.sup.N-step gradation; and halftone gradation display. In first and second gradation display, an area ratio between the sub-divided pixels driven and those not driven in one of the two types is equal to that in the other of the two types. In the second gradation display, a total area ratio of the sub-divided pixels driven to those not driven is greater than that in the first gradation display. In the halftone gradation display, an area ratio between the sub-divided pixels driven and those not driven is different between the two types.

According to one embodiment, a display device, includes a first main pixel, wherein the first main pixel comprises a first sub-pixel displaying a first color, a second sub-pixel displaying a second color different from the first color, and a third sub-pixel displaying a third color different from the first and second colors, the first and second sub-pixels are arranged in a second direction, the first and third sub-pixels are arranged in a first direction, and the second and third sub-pixels are arranged in the first direction, and each of the first and second sub-pixels has a first length in the first direction, and the third sub-pixel has a second length smaller than the first length in the first direction.

The present application provides a display panel, a driving method thereof, and an electronic device, wherein the electronic device includes the display panel, and the driving method of the display panel is used to drive the display panel, a driving unit of the display panel drives first sub-pixels and second sub-pixels to display alternately with a first display gray scale and a second display gray scale, and drives third sub-pixels to display with a third gray scale value, so as to alleviate a problem of serious color shift at large viewing angles and improve clarity of a displayed picture.

The present application discloses a display driving method and device, and a display device, by obtaining Gaussian probability of a preset scene in a to-be-displayed image with respect to a preset color, comparing the Gaussian probability with a predetermined threshold, and setting the polarities of sub-pixels, the driving method of the present application reduces the risk of crosstalk caused by the fact that the voltage drops of the coupling capacitance on the adjacent data lines cannot be canceled each other out.

Disclosed are a method and a device for improving an LCD large viewing angle display effect. The method includes: detecting an input RGB gray-scale voltage, when the input RGB gray-scale voltage meets a given preset condition, performing by a display panel an H/L switching display of two frames, and when the input RGB gray-scale voltage does not meet the given preset condition, performing by the display panel a normal display of two frames, wherein the given preset condition is: 80%*R.sub.specificationR120%*R.sub.specification, 80%*G.sub.specificationG120%*G.sub.specification or 80%*B.sub.specificationB120%*B.sub.specification.

The disclosure provides an image display method and device. An image display method applicable a multi-domain display device includes: obtaining grayscales of respective pixels in one frame of input image; determining grayscales of the respective pixels in two adjacent frames of output image according to the grayscales of the respective pixels in the frame of input image, wherein the grayscale of any pixel in one of the two adjacent frames of output image is higher than the grayscale of the pixel in the input image, and the grayscale of the pixel in the other frame is lower than the grayscale of the pixel in the input image; and displaying the two adjacent frames of output image.

The present disclosure discloses a display panel, a display device and a driving method thereof. The display panel comprises: a first substrate and a second substrate arranged opposite to each other, and liquid crystals disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, the first substrate comprising a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of data lines, wherein the first substrate is provided with a plurality of pixel regions distributed in an array, each of the plurality of pixel regions being provided with liquid crystals having four initial pretilt angles and comprising a first sub-pixel region and a second sub-pixel region arranged in a scanning direction, each of the first sub-pixel region and the second sub-pixel region being provided with one thin film transistor; each of the plurality of gate lines is connected to gates of all the thin film transistors in a row of pixel regions, each of the plurality of data lines being connected to a first electrode of all the thin film transistors in a column of pixel regions, the first electrode being one of a source and a drain; and the display panel further comprises a driving circuit for providing different gate turn-on voltages to two adjacent gate lines.

According to an aspect, a display device includes first to fourth sub-pixels.
