Systems and methods are provided for logging tests of electronic devices, which are performed on the electronic devices by a measurement and/or testing device. While logging the test messaged and any other messages generated by the measurement and/or testing device during the test, a video is recorded of the respective electronic device and timely synchronized with the log of the test.

Interconnected multimedia systems with synchronized playback of media streams

Synchronous playback of time-based media received from one or more locations remote from a primary editing/mixing studio is achieved by time-stamping media samples with a local presentation time before streaming them to the primary studio. At the primary studio, samples having the same presentation timestamp are played back at the same time, independently of the samples' arrival time at the playback system. Media stored locally to the playback system may also be included as part of the synchronous playback using locally computed presentation times. In order to accommodate media streaming transmission delays, the playback system negotiates a suitable delay with the remote systems such that samples corresponding to a given presentation time are received at the playback system from remote locations prior to playback of media corresponding to the given presentation time.

Exemplary embodiments of systems and methods are provided for automatically creating time-based video metadata for a video source and a video playback mechanism. An automated logging process can be provided for receiving a digital video stream, analyzing one or more frames of the digital video stream, extracting a time from each of the one or more frames analyzed, and creating a clock index file associating a time with each of the one or more analyzed frames. The process can further provide for parsing one or more received data files, extracting time-based metadata from the one or more parsed data files, and determining a frame of the digital video stream that correlates to the extracted time based metadata.

Magnetic disk device and method of controlling the same

According to one embodiment, a magnetic disk device includes a first write control section of writing first data and second data to each of the sectors of a predetermined track among the tracks, a second write control section of writing the first data to each of the sectors of a predetermined track among the tracks, and a selection control section of, when receiving a write command, estimating the time required from start of a process of the first write control section to end of the process, and selectively executing the process of the first write control section or a process of the second write control section by comparing the estimated time with a time limit specified in advance.
