According to one embodiment, a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes control circuitry. The control circuitry executes, by a single protocol, acquisition of a distribution of a T1 relaxation time with a first slice as a target, and acquisition of a different kind from the distribution of the T1 relaxation time with a second slice as a target which neither overlaps nor crosses a region of interest of the first slice.

FLUID ANALYSIS APPARATUS, FLUID ANALYSIS METHOD, AND FLUID ANALYSIS PROGRAM
20220268612 · 2022-08-25 · ·

A processor analyzes an image obtained by imaging a subject including a tubular structure in which a fluid flows, thereby deriving fluid information regarding flow of the fluid at each of pixel positions in the tubular structure. The processor derives, within the tubular structure included in the image, a matching degree between the fluid information at a plurality of pixel-of-interest positions set at a first sampling interval and the fluid information at a plurality of pixel positions within a predetermined region based on the pixel-of-interest positions. The processor sets a second sampling interval for displaying the fluid information in accordance with the matching degree. The processor samples the fluid information at the set second sampling interval and causes a display to display the fluid information.

REGION IDENTIFICATION DEVICE, REGION IDENTIFICATION METHOD, AND REGION IDENTIFICATION PROGRAM

An image acquisition unit acquires a phase contrast image consisting of a plurality of phases for each of three spatial directions, in which a pixel value of each pixel represents a velocity of fluid for each of the three directions, the phase contrast image being acquired by imaging a subject including a structure inside which fluid flows by a three-dimensional cine phase contrast magnetic resonance method. An identification unit identifies a region of the structure in the phase contrast image on the basis of a maximum value of the velocity of the fluid between corresponding pixels in each of the phases of the phase contrast image.

A method of processing signals from an accelerated MRI scan of a dynamic event occurring in the body of a human patient. The patient is subjected to an MRI examination which includes the relevant portion of his body. Those voxels for which there is no substantially no change over the time of the scan are identified and subtracted from the overall scan signal.

SLICE ALIGNMENT FOR SHORT AXIS CARDIAC MR CINE SLICE STACKS

Slice alignment approaches are described for short axis cardiac magnetic resonance cine slice stacks, which do not require additional scans, such as long axis scans or full 3D scans, and which are able to deal with cardiac structures having complex shapes. Both approaches do not need contours to follow a quadratic curvature function, and are well suitable for the purpose of obtaining a segmentation of a cardiac structure using a deformable surface model. Namely, such a deformable surface model is unable, but also not desired, to fully adapt to the ‘zig-zag’-shaped pattern in the boundary of the cardiac structure due to the slice misalignment. Having removed or reduced the misalignment between image slices, such a deformable surface model may better adapt to the cardiac structure in the image data and 10 thereby provide a better segmentation of the cardiac structure.

Fluid analysis apparatus, method for operating fluid analysis apparatus, and fluid analysis program

The invention provides a fluid analysis apparatus, a method for operating a fluid analysis apparatus, and a fluid analysis program that display a flow velocity vector such that the tendency of a fluid flow is easily checked. A representative two-dimensional flow velocity vector representing a plurality of two-dimensional flow velocity vectors obtained by projecting three-dimensional flow velocity vectors of a plurality of voxels that overlap each other in a projection direction of a projection plane to the projection plane is acquired from three-dimensional volume data that has information of the three-dimensional flow velocity vector indicating the flow velocity of a fluid in an anatomical structure for each voxel and is displayed.

Magnetic microstructures for magnetic resonance imaging

The present invention relates to a magnetic resonance structure with a cavity or a reserved space that provides contrast and the additional ability to frequency-shift the spectral signature of the NMR-susceptible nuclei such as water protons by a discrete and controllable characteristic frequency shift that is unique to each MRS design. The invention also relates to nearly uniform solid magnetic resonance T.sub.2* contrast agents that have a significantly higher magnetic moment compared to similarly-sized existing MRI contrast agents.

Multiband spiral cardiac MRI with non-cartesian reconstruction methods

A computerized method of reconstructing acquired magnetic resonance image (MRI) data to produce a series of output images includes acquiring a multiband k-space data set from a plurality of multiband slices of spiral MRI data; simultaneously acquiring a single band k-space data set comprising respective single band spiral image slices that are each associated with a respective one of the multiband slices in the multiband k-space data set; using the single band k-space data set, for each individual multiband slice, calculating a respective calibration kernel to apply to the multi-band k-space data set for each individual multiband slice; separating each individual multiband slice from the multiband k space data set by phase demodulating the multi-band k-space data using multiband phase demodulation operators corresponding to the individual multiband slice and convolving phase demodulated multi-band k-space data with a selected convolution operator to form a gridded set of the multi-band k-space data corresponding to the individual multiband slice.
