An apparatus for a three-dimensional display is disclosed that includes a waveguide having a pair of opposed faces configured to propagate radiation along a length of the waveguide between the faces, a radiation source optically coupled to the waveguide and configured to transmit the radiation to the waveguide, at least one prismatic element having a face optically coupled to at least one of the faces of the waveguide, and a layer of image modulating material optically coupled to at least one of the faces of the waveguide. The image modulating material may be optically coupled to an area of at least one of the faces of the waveguide, at least a portion of the area being located outside a perimeter of a face of the prismatic element optically coupled to at least one of the faces of the waveguide. The image modulating material may also be optically coupled to at least one of the faces of the waveguide, such that the waveguide is between the layer of image modulating material and the at least one prismatic element.

Dense wavelength division multiplexing fiber optic apparatuses and related equipment

A fiber optic assembly is provided including a body defining a fiber routing volume, a plurality of fiber optic components disposed in a front side of the body, and a plurality of optical filters disposed within the volume. The device further includes a second optical coupler that combines the reference optical signal with the band stopped filtered portion to provide a coupled optical signal; a photodiode that provides at a photocurrent indicating a difference between the wavelength of the optical signal and the characteristic wavelength; and a control loop that provides a control signal for automatically tuning the characteristic wavelength based at least in part on the photocurrent.

A fiber optic system is provided including a first and second fiber optic assembly, each comprising a body defining a fiber routing volume and a plurality of fiber optic components disposed on the body. The first fiber optic assembly includes a first plurality of optical filters disposed within the first fiber routing volume. The first plurality of optical filters define a first plurality of dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) channels, test channels, an express port, and an upgrade port. A second plurality of optical filters disposed within the second fiber routing volume. The second plurality of optical filters define a second group comprising a second plurality of DWDM channels. The test channels and the express port of the first fiber optic assembly are utilized for both the first fiber optic assembly and the second fiber optic assembly.
