Liquid crystal display device
A liquid crystal display device includes a first liquid crystal display panel of a field sequential type, a second liquid crystal display panel of a color filter type disposed on a back face side of the first liquid crystal display panel, and a backlight configured to emit white light on a back face side of the second liquid crystal display panel.

A display device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a display panel for displaying images, a lighting device provided corresponding to a first side face of the display panel, and a housing surrounding the display panel and the lighting device, the housing including a first opening provided in a front face corresponding to the display panel and a second opening in a side face. A light emitted from the lighting device enters the display panel from the first side face, a first portion of the incident light is emitted from the first opening, and a second portion of the incident light is emitted from the second opening through at least one portion of a second side face in the display panel corresponding to the first side face.

DISPLAY APPARATUS
A display apparatus of the present disclosure includes: a light source unit that emits color light beams having different wavelengths; a light intensity modulation element including pixels, and subjecting the color light beams to intensity modulation to generate an image; a diffraction element configured to simultaneously illuminate at least two pixel regions at different pixel positions, with different color light beams, by diffracting the respective color light beams from the light source unit toward pixel regions at different pixel positions on the light intensity modulation element; and a control unit that changes diffraction angles of the respective color light beams in the diffraction element within a predetermined period, and sequentially switches illumination regions for the pixel regions by the respective color light beams, to allow all of the color light beams to time-divisionally illuminate any pixel region of the pixel regions within the predetermined period.
Display device, and driving method for the display device for reducing power consumption and improving display effect
The present disclosure provides a display device and a driving method. The display device includes a display panel and a backlight module, where the display panel includes a plurality of display regions, the backlight module includes x light sources, each of the plurality of display regions corresponds to one of the light sources, each of the light sources includes a plurality of light emitting units which emit light of different colors, and x is a positive integer not smaller than 2. The driving method includes, after loading data signals to subpixels in one of the display regions, turning on a light emitting unit corresponding to the one of the display regions and at the same time, loading datap signals to subpixels in a next one of the display regions which is adjacent to the one of the display regions.

A display device is provided and includes a display panel including; a first substrate, a lower electrode on the first substrate, a second substrate, an upper electrode on the second substrate, and liquid crystalline polymers with a striped structure and liquid crystal molecules disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate; a light source unit disposed at a side of the display panel and configured to emit incident light on the side of the display panel; and a light guided structure disposed between the side of the display panel and the light source unit, wherein the light guided structure has a grid-like structure.

The present disclosure provides a display device, a driving method, and an electronic apparatus. The display device includes a backlight module including a substrate and a plurality of LEDs disposed on the substrate, and the plurality of LEDs being configured to emit light having at least one color of red, green, and blue; and a display panel, configured to display red light when the plurality of LEDs emits red light, to display green light when the plurality of LEDs emits green light, and to display blue light when the plurality of LEDs emits blue light. The display device does not require a color resist layer, thereby greatly improving the light transmittance of the display device.

To provide a light emitting device that is used for a display that is able to display an image having a wider color gamut. This light emitting device includes: a first light source configured to perform an operation of blinking first emission light including first blue light and first red light; and a second light source configured to perform an operation of blinking second emission light independently of the operation of blinking the first emission light by the first light source. The second emission light includes second red light and green light.
