Provided is a reflective diffusing lens which controls light emitted from a light emitting element according to an embodiment. The reflective diffusing lens is a reflective diffusing lens controlling the light emitted from the light emitting element and may comprise a light incident part which is formed concavely toward an upper side and has an incident surface to which the light emitted from the light emitting element is incident; a light emitting part which has an emission surface to which the light incident to the incident surface is emitted; a reflection part which is disposed at the upper side of the light incident part and formed concavely toward a lower side, and has a reflection surface on which a part of the light emitted from the light incident part is reflected; and a re-reflection part which is formed outside a radial direction of the light incident part on a lens lower surface connecting the light incident part and the light emitting part and has a re-reflection surface on which the other part of the light emitted from the incident surface is reflected.
Backlight unit and display device comprising the same
A backlight unit and a display device including the backlight unit are discussed. The backlight unit can include a printed circuit, a plurality of light sources disposed on the printed circuit, and a first base film disposed on the printed circuit and including a plurality of first holes provided in an area where the plurality of light sources are disposed and a plurality of second holes spaced apart from the plurality of first holes, wherein the plurality of second holes surround the plurality of first holes. The backlight unit can further include a plurality of light source protectors disposed on the printed circuit and disposed in the plurality of first holes, a plurality of light path converters disposed on the printed circuit and including a material different from the light source protectors, and a light control film disposed on the light source protectors and the light path converters.
Display device including lens array with independently operable array sections
The disclosed liquid lens array may include a plurality of independently operable array sections, each of which may include (1) a transparent base layer, (2) an aperture plate overlapping the transparent base layer, the aperture plate defining a plurality of apertures extending through the aperture plate between an inner surface of the aperture plate facing the transparent base layer and an outer surface of the aperture plate, and (3) a liquid reservoir disposed between the base layer and the aperture plate. The liquid lens array may also include driving circuit for operating at least one array section of the plurality of array sections to change liquid volumes extending from the liquid reservoir at least partially through the apertures defined in the aperture plate of the at least one array section. Various other methods, systems, and devices are also disclosed.

A display apparatus includes: a liquid crystal panel; and a light apparatus on which the liquid crystal panel is disposed, the light apparatus including: a substrate; a plurality of dimming blocks including a first dimming block and a second dimming block disposed immediately next to the first dimming block, each of the plurality of dimming blocks including at least one respective light source disposed on a first side of the substrate; and a plurality of driving devices disposed on the first side of the substrate and including a first driving device disposed in the first dimming block and a second driving device disposed in the second dimming block, each driving device of the plurality of driving devices being configured to provide a driving current to the at least one respective light source included in a respective one of the plurality of dimming blocks, wherein the first driving device and the second driving device are disposed at relatively different positions respectively within the first dimming block and the second dimming block.

Provide are a composite optical sheet used for a liquid crystal display (LCD) device and a method of manufacturing the composite optical sheet. The LCD device includes: a liquid crystal panel; a surface light-emitting module; a base layer disposed between the liquid crystal panel and the surface light-emitting module; a diffusion pattern layer disposed on a surface of the base layer facing the surface light-emitting module and configured to diffuse light incident from the surface light-emitting module; a prism pattern layer disposed on a surface of the base layer facing the liquid crystal panel and including a plurality of first unit prisms; and a prism film adhered to the prism pattern layer and including a plurality of second unit prisms.
DISPLAY DEVICE
A display device is provided. The display device includes a plurality of light emitting units and a diffuser disposed on the plurality of light emitting units. The diffuser includes a bottom surface facing the plurality of light emitting units, and the bottom surface has a plurality of protrusions. The display device also includes a supporting portion supporting the diffuser. The supporting portion is higher than the plurality of light emitting units. In a top view of the display device, the supporting portion and the protrusions of the diffuser are overlapped.
DISPLAY DEVICE
A display device includes a display panel and a backlight assembly. A light source unit of the backlight assembly includes a light source board including a conductive pattern, a light emitting chip on the light source board and electrically connected to the conductive pattern, a wavelength conversion member covering the light emitting chip and converting a wavelength of light emitted from the light emitting chip; and diffusion particles in the wavelength conversion member. The light emitting chip includes a rear surface facing the light source board, a top surface opposite to the rear surface and a side surface connecting the rear surface to the top surface. A density of the diffusion particles in the wavelength conversion member at the top surface of the light emitting chip is greater than a density of the diffusion particles in the wavelength conversion member at the side surface of the light emitting chip.
Backlight module and display device
The present invention provides a backlight module and a display device. The backlight module includes a back plate; a light-emitting chip formed on the back plate and capable of emitting light rays of a first color; a packaging entity made of a light-transmitting material and configured to package the light-emitting chip onto the back plate; and a phosphor layer formed in the packaging entity and consisting of phosphors doped in the packaging entity. The phosphor layer is configured to convert a part of light rays among the light rays of the first color emitted from the light-emitting chip into light rays of a second color, so as to be mixed with the remaining, unconverted light rays of the first color to form white backlight.
Double-sided emission type display device
A display device is provided. The display device includes: a first display panel and a second display panel; and a backlight between the first display panel and the second display panel, wherein the backlight includes at least one Printed Circuit Board (PCB), and a plurality of Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) arranged on different faces of the PCB and configured to supply light to both the first display panel and the second display panel located on different sides of the backlight.
Light source unit fixing reflection sheet and display apparatus including the same
A display apparatus includes plural light source units each including a light emitting device and a lens portion; a reflection sheet defining plural holes thereof and into which the light source units are respectively disposed; and a display panel on the reflection sheet. The lens portion defines: a body portion; and plural side protruding portions and respectively at opposing sides of the body portion in a first direction in a top plan view. The hole of the reflection sheet is defined by: an edge of a first hole; an edge of a second hole facing the first hole in a second direction crossing the first direction, the second hole larger than the first hole; and slanted edges connecting the first hole to the second hole. In a fixed state of the reflection sheet, a predetermined area of the reflection sheet adjacent to the slanted edges overlaps the side protruding portions.
