Methods and kits for assessing Heparanase procoagulant activity, compositions comprising Heparanase, and methods for the treatment of coagulation-related disorders
The present invention relates to an inhibitory peptide capable of disrupting a Heparanase/Tissue Factor complex. The invention further provides methods and kits for determining heparanase procoagulant activity in a biological sample. The invention also relates to diagnostic methods for the detection and/or monitoring of a coagulation-related pathologic disorder in a mammalian subject. The invention further relates to compositions comprising heparanase and at least one tissue factor, uses and methods based thereon in the treatment, amelioration and prevention of coagulation-related pathologic conditions. The invention still further relates to methods for screening a coagulation modulatory compound, methods and uses based thereon in the treatment, amelioration and prevention of coagulation-related pathologic conditions.
Antimalarial enzyme conjugates, kits containing same, and methods of producing and using same
A method, composition, and kit for treating a malarial infection in a subject by using an enzyme conjugate comprising a variant cystathione-gamma-lyase and a targeting ligand which binds to erythrocytes infected with Plasmodium pathogens. The variant cystathione-gamma-lyase has methioninase activity. Also disclosed is a method of treating Plasmodium-infected blood by exposing the infected blood with the enzyme conjugate.

CYSTATHIONINE BETA-SYNTHASE ENZYME THERAPY FOR TREATMENT OF ELEVATED HOMOCYSTEINE LEVELS
The present disclosure provides methods for treating homocystinuria or elevated homocysteine levels in subjects, including methods of improving cognitive function and ameliorating skeletal fragility, and methods of stratifying patient populations to determine disease progression or severity and/or to determine treatment regimens. In some embodiments, the methods of improving cognitive function in a subject having elevated total plasma homocysteine (tHcy) levels further comprise providing a cognitive or behavioral intervention.
Compositions and methods for treatment of homocystinuria
Provided herein are improved compositions and methods for enzyme replacement therapy using modified human cystathionine beta synthase (CBS) in the treatment of homocystinuria and related diseases and disorders.
