An electrode wire for electrical discharge machining of the present disclosure has a mass ratio of copper of 55.5 mass % or more and 58.5 mass % or less, a mass ratio of zinc of 41.5 mass % or more and 44.5 mass % or less, a diameter of 0.395 mm or more and 0.45 mm or less, and a tensile strength of 900 MPa or higher.
