The thickness of the tape member is not less than 0.028 mm and not more than 0.090 mm, a width of the tape member is not less than 18 mm and not more than 35 mm, the tape member is spirally wound with an overlap of not less than ¼ and not more than ½ of the width thereof, and a tensile strength of the tape member is different between the longitudinal direction and the width direction and is smaller in the width direction than in the longitudinal direction.
Thermally softenable adhesive tape and method for jacketing elongated items, especially leads
An adhesive tape for jacketing an elongated item, more particularly cable sets, comprises a tapelike carrier which is characterized in that the tapelike carrier is provided on at least one side with a binder which is thermally softenable at a temperature of 50° C. to 100° C. and comprises a polycaprolactone.
Ultrathin low-voltage electric wire for an automobile, and wire harness including same
Provided is an ultrathin low-voltage electric wire for an automobile that includes a conductor part and an insulating layer covering the outer periphery of the conductor part, wherein the insulating layer includes a resin composition containing 100 parts by mass of a vinyl chloride resin, 29 to 31 parts by mass of a trimellitic acid-based ester plasticizer, 0.3 to 1.0 parts by mass of a processing aid, and 7 to 11 parts by mass of a thermal stabilizer, the conductor part has a cross-sectional area of 0.13±0.02 mm.sup.2, and the insulating layer has a thickness of 0.16 to 0.25 mm.
Compressed stranded conductor, insulated electric wire, and wire harness
A compressed stranded conductor includes an inner layer strand having conductive wires which are twisted together, and an outer layer strand having conductive wires which are arranged around an outer periphery of the inner layer strand and are twisted together. The inner layer strand and the outer layer strand are compressed. An inner layer area reduction rate of one conductive wire of the inner layer strand is 29% or more and 32% or less. An outer layer area reduction rate of one conductive wire of the outer layer strand is 6% or more and 11% or less. A difference between the inner layer area reduction rate and the outer layer area reduction rate is 19% or more and 25% or less.
WIRE HARNESS
A wire harness includes a conductive path including a braided part and a sheath member accommodating the conductive path so as to protect the conductive path. The braided part is provided as an outermost layer of the conductive path. The braided part includes a cushion part having elasticity in a radial direction of the conductive path and projecting outward in the radial direction toward the sheath member.
ELECTRICAL HARNESS FOR A COMPOSITE OBJECT
An electrical harness for a composite object comprises a first electrical layer mainly embedded in the composite of the object, a second electrical layer mainly outside the composite of the object, and a connection device electrically connecting the first layer and the second layer.
Hybrid cable assembly
A cable assembly is used to connect elements of a computing system. The cable assembly may include a first cable and a connector. The first cable includes an external portion having a first conductor, an electromagnetic (EMC) shielding jacket for the first conductor and a connector disposed at an end of the first conductor. Further, the first cable includes an internal portion comprising a second conductor and a connector disposed on an end of the second conductor. However, the internal portion lacks an EMC shielding jacket for the second conductor. The external portion of the first cable and the internal portion of the first cable form a continuous cable. The connector device comprises a shield area configured to electrically couple with a chassis of a node of a computer system and a retainer configured to physically couple the cable assembly with the chassis. The connector is configured to electrically couple the external portion of the first cable with the chassis, and wherein the external portion of the first cable meets the internal portion of the first cable at the connector device.
Cable set, winding tape and process for producing the cable set
A cable set includes a line run having a multiplicity of lines. A protective sheath surrounds the line run. A taping is disposed between the line run and the protective sheath. The taping surrounds the line run and has nubs projecting outward to the protective sheath. At least some of the nubs pass through the protective sheath. A winding tape for winding around a line run for producing a cable set and a method for producing a cable set are also provided.
Method for producing a multi-core cable and correspondingly produced cable
A method for producing a multi-core cable includes arranging first and second contact elements in a contact carrier having first and second longitudinal channels connecting a contacting side to a cable side, and first and second through-openings respectively crossing the first and second longitudinal channels, and a second through-opening crossing the second longitudinal channel. The first and second longitudinal channels and the first and second through-openings are sealed in a fluid-tight manner by inserting two first sealing pieces into the first through-opening and two second sealing pieces into the second through-opening. In an injection-molding method, a connecting piece is formed connecting the contact carrier to the outer sheath of the cable by overmolding at least a rear section of the contact carrier comprising the first and second through-openings and a section of the cable protruding on the cable side.
WIRING HARNESS
A wiring harness capable of reliably blocking a leak path after an endurance test and exhibiting a good waterproof performance over a long period of time. The wiring harness has a waterproof structure in which a spliced portion is formed by joining conductors that are exposed by partially removing coating materials, and a conductor exposed portion composed of a bundle of the exposed conductors. An outer peripheral surface of each coating material end part of each insulated wire adjacent to the conductor exposed portion are continuously covered with a waterproofing agent to seal the conductor exposed portion and is configured using a reactive adhesive having a gel fraction in a range of 20 to 70% as the waterproofing agent.
