Tube and Conductor Set
20170063060 · 2017-03-02 ·

A tube and conductor set includes a polymeric tube having a radially outward facing surface and a conductor having a polymeric sheath in which the polymeric sheath has a radially outward facing surface. The radially outward facing surface of the polymeric tube is bonded to the radially outward facing surface of the polymeric sheath of the conductor over an axial length, except for one or more unbonded intermediate axial gaps. These one or more unbonded intermediate axial gaps provide a starting point for the separation of one of the ends of the polymeric tube from one of the ends the conductor. It is contemplated that more than one tube and/or conductor can be bonded and that each line of bonding could have such unbonded intermediate axial gaps to facilitate ease of separation.

A wiring harness and an electrical assembly in which a chamber can be vented by the wiring harness are provided. The wiring harness is configured to transmit electrical power between two electrical contact points located separate from each other. The wiring harness includes an individual conductor, which includes an electrically insulating layer and forms, along a longitudinal direction of extent of the wiring harness, two connection ends of the wiring harness for electrically contacting the contact points; a hollow channel element, which is separate from the individual conductor and runs along the longitudinal direction of extent, wherein each of the ends of the channel element opens out at a respective connection end; and a wiring harness sheath, by way of which the individual conductor and the channel element are jointly sheathed along the longitudinal direction of extent.

An assembly includes a first conductor, a tube extending along the first conductor between first and second ends of the first conductor, and an electrically-insulating barrier surrounding the first conductor and the tube such that the tube is spaced from the first conductor. Another assembly includes a plurality of conductors, a first tube extending along at least one of the conductors, and an electrically-insulating barrier enclosing the conductors and the first tube in which the barrier maintains spacing between the first tube and one or more adjacent conductors. In each assembly, the tube is configured to permit a fluid to flow therethrough. A method of manufacturing a feeder cable includes providing conductors that extend between first and second lugs of each conductor, enclosing the conductors within an electrically-insulating layer, and forming a cooling passage within the electrically-insulating layer that extends along one of the conductors.

An electric cable assembly and a device with an electric cable assembly are provided. An example electric cable assembly includes an electric cable and a connector. The connector is configured to be in electrical communication with the electric cable and includes an interface and a rotatable member. The interface includes an electrical interface and a fluid coupling that is configured to be coupled with a fluid socket of a device or an electric component of the device. The rotatable member of the connector is configured to rotate and includes a tab that extends inward. When the fluid coupling is coupled with the fluid socket, the fluid coupling is configured to be decouplable from the fluid socket when the tab of the rotatable member is positioned outward from the fluid coupling.
