Wiring harness assembly having multiple separated conductors embedded within a substrate
A method of manufacturing a wiring harness assembly includes the steps of forming a plurality of electrically conductive wires encased within a substrate formed of a dielectric material, forming an opening in the substrate located and sized such that a section of the plurality of electrically conductive wires is exposed within the opening, disposing a support segment within the opening, securing a connector segment including a plurality of terminals to the support segment, and placing the plurality of terminals in mechanical and electrical contact with the plurality of electrically conductive wires.
WIRING HARNESS ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME
There is provided a wiring harness assembly comprising a main trunk cable assembly, a branch cable assembly and at least one connector. The main trunk assembly defines opposite terminal ends thereof and comprises main trunk wires. The branch cable assembly defines opposite terminal ends thereof and comprises branch wires. The at least one connector provides for connecting the main trunk cable assembly and the branch cable assembly. The connector comprises an outer housing and an inner wiring harness positioned within the housing. The wiring harness comprises main trunk wire segments and branch wire segments interconnected at mutual connecting points thereof. The main trunk wire segments define terminal ends thereof for being connected to the main trunk wires at one of the terminal ends of the main trunk cable assembly. The branch wire segments define terminal ends thereof for being connected to the branch wires at one of the terminal ends of the branch cable assembly. A method of making the wiring harness assembly is also provided.
Electric cable structural body, electric connection structure, and method for producing electric cable structural body
A first direction exposed conductor group includes a plurality of exposed conductor portions of a first flat cable, and a second direction exposed conductor group includes a plurality of exposed conductor portions of a second flat cable. The plurality of exposed conductor portions are located parallel to each other, and the plurality of exposed conductor portions are located parallel to each other. The first direction exposed conductor group and the second direction exposed conductor group intersect and overlap each other to form an intersection overlap portion. An intersection insulating film is provided between the first direction exposed conductor group and the second direction exposed conductor group at the intersection overlap portion. The exposed conductor portions and the exposed conductor portions facing each other via windows of the intersection insulating film are connected to be conductive to each other. Thus, an electric cable structural body is provided.
PORTABLE ASSEMBLY FOR DISTRIBUTING BOTH AC POWER AND DIGITAL CONTROL SIGNALS TO A PLURALITY OF DISCRETE DEVICES
A portable assembly suitable for distributing both power and low voltage control signals to a plurality of discrete devices is disclosed. Power and control signal input connectors are attached by flexible cable to a junction point. A first set of power and control signal output connectors are attached by flexible cable to the same junction point. A second set of power and control signal output connectors is located proximate to the junction point. Contacts of all three power connectors and of all three control signal connectors having the same function are made electrically common, such that power and control signals applied to the input connectors are available at both output connectors. The arrangement of elements reduces the number of cables and connections required to share power and data relative to prior art methods.
Composite-cable relay device
The present invention provides a composite-cable relay device that connects individual wiring lines of a composite cable to two or more motor-side connectors included in a motor, the composite-cable relay device including: two or more relay-side connectors that are connected to the respective motor-side connectors; hollow housings that are secured to at least one of the relay-side connectors; a relay cable that possesses flexibility and that connects the hollow housings and the other relay-side connectors, wherein a connecting portion to which the composite cable is connected is provided in the hollow housings, and, in the interior of the hollow housing, wiring to be connected to the relay-side connector secured to the hollow housing and wiring to be connected to the relay cable branch off from each other.
Field grading members, power cables having field grading members, and methods of regulating electric fields
A field grading member includes an insulating body extending along a regulation axis and a conductive body. The conductive body is encapsulated within the insulating body and defines a conductive network therein to regulate an electric field within an underlying insulator from current flowing through a conductor along the regulation axis. Irregular-shaped cable and method for manufacturing the cable
An irregular-shaped cable and a method for manufacturing the cable. The irregular-shaped cable includes a conductive core formed by at least two conductive core segments having different cross-sectional shapes which are connected end to end. An insulation layer is wrapped over the conductive core segment from the outside, and the profile of the insulation layer fits with the conductive core segments. The cable can be fitted with the vehicle body. The manufacturing method includes a manufacture of the conductive core segments, a connection of the conductive core segments, and a manufacture of the insulation layer.
ELECTRICAL PORT DEVICE
An electrical port device having an electrical port and a cap or cover removable connected to the electrical port having a plug. A Y-shaped electrical cord or cable connects the electrical port to a pair of electrical receptacles. The Y-shaped electrical cord can include one electrical cord or cable section connected to the electrical port, a pair of electrical cord or cable sections connected to the pair of electrical receptacles, and a Y-shaped connector connecting the one electrical cord or cable section and the pair of electrical cord or cable sections. Further, the cap or cover and the electrical port have cooperating sealing surfaces to ensure watertight or waterproof sealing when the cap or cover is installed “on” the electrical port to prevent water or moisture reaching the plug.
Wiring member with resin molded portions and bracket
A wiring member includes wires, a resin molded portion that covers the wires, and a bracket attachment that is attached to the resin molded portion. The resin molded portion includes a bracket attachment portion that is formed with at least one flat surface portion. The bracket includes a first attachment portion that is configured to be attached to an attachment location, and a second attachment portion that is connected to the first attachment portion and is crimped to the bracket attachment portion while being in surface contact with at least one of the at least one flat surface portion.

A wire exterior body and an exterior-covered wire harness, capable of reducing vibration noise generated by vibration of the exterior body attached to a vehicle or the like and the wire harness in the exterior body, caused by vibration of the vehicle or the like, are provided. A wire exterior body to be attached to an outer periphery of a wire, formed by bending a resin sheet, includes a plurality of wall parts extending along the extending direction of the wire and forming an accommodating part for accommodating the wire. At least one of the plurality of wall parts has a protruding part protruding from the at least one wall part.
