The first and/or second insulating layers include spacers, each spacer including a layer of a rigid insulating material. At least one of the spacers is glued to an electrically insulating coating of the first and/or second conducting layer, and/or at least one of the spacers is glued to an electrically conductive surface of an uncoated first and/or second conducting layer by an adhesive.

The radial bus is designed to provide an improved range of flexibility and motion while allowing for easy addition of bead devices along its length that utilize self-addressing bus protocols such as cascading device protocols. The design of the flexible, interruptible radial bus facilitates the use of pass-through and interrupted paths along the bus that simplifies the installation of addressable devices along the bus such as the bus-mounted bead devices disclosed herein.

The protector includes: accommodating portions that accommodate the branch lines, respectively; and connector holding portions provided in at least two of the accommodating portions, respectively, the connector holding portions being provided within a range where the relay line reaches from the branch portion. The relay line is accommodated in the protector in a state in which the connector is selectively held in one of the connector holding portions.

When the sheath includes polyolefins, the group of cables includes at least one cable including an outermost layer including thermoplastic polyurethane. When the sheath includes thermoplastic polyurethane, the group of cables includes at least one cable having an outermost layer comprising polyolefin. The resin mold includes a resin composition of a polymer alloy of a first polymer including at least one of polyamide polymer, polyester polymer, and thermoplastic polyurethane and a second polymer including polyolefin.

Cable and method for manufacturing the cable

A cable includes a cable core formed of an electrically conductive material and an insulation at least partially encasing the cable core. The cable core is exposed in a contact zone in which the cable contacts an electrical conductor. A surface of the contact zone is filled substantially flush with a cable surface of the insulation.

A cable includes a communication carrying medium or a conductive medium. A jacket surrounds the medium along the length of the cable. At least one magnet is embedded within, attached to an outer surface of, or abutting an inner surface of, the jacket. The at least one magnet allows one cable to be attached to another cable, even if only temporarily, so that plural cables can be installed as a single unit. Magnetic attraction may exist as a jacket-to-jacket attraction between first and second cables. Alternatively, magnetic attraction may be used to attach a first cable to an intermediary, such as a spine, and also used to attach a second cable to the same intermediary.
