20230099568 · 2023-03-30 ·

An insulated electrical wire is provided. The insulated electrical wire includes a conductor and an insulating film including pores. The insulating film at least includes a first insulating layer. The first insulating layer includes a first center region, a first inner side region, and a first outer side region. The first center region is a center region in the first insulating layer in a thickness direction and is formed of an insulating material and first pores that are the pores. The first pores are derived from a liquid thermally decomposable polymer. The first inner side region and the first outer side region are formed not to include the first pores.

COMPOSITE CABLE

A composite cable is composed of plural electric power wires, a first twisted wire made by laying plural signal wires together, a second twisted wire disposed opposite the first twisted wire with the electric power wires between the first twisted wire and the second twisted wire, and a sheath formed over plural electric power wires, the first twisted wire, and the second twisted wire. The second twisted wire is made by laying plural electric wires including a grounding wire together. Each of the plural electric wires of the second twisted wire is composed of a conductor and an insulator formed over the conductor.

POWER CABLE ASSEMBLY FOR A POWER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM HAVING AN INTEGRATED COOLING SYSTEM

A high voltage power cable assembly for a power distribution system of a vehicle incorporating an integrated cooling system is presented. The power cable assembly comprises first and second electrical conductors spaced apart from one another and extending longitudinally. The power cable assembly further comprises a longitudinally extending cooling tube arranged between the first and second electrical conductors such that opposing portions of an external surface of the cooling tube are provided in direct contact with corresponding portions of the insulating material of the electrical conductors over a heat exchange region so as to transfer heat from the electrically conductive core of the electrical conductors to a coolant medium circulating in an internal channel of the cooling tube.

Thermal expansion and swell compensated jacket for ESP cable

A cable includes insulated conductors arranged in a spaced apart generally coplanar configuration. A jacket encapsulates the insulated conductors. The jacket has a generally rounded rectangular cross-section, at least one spline along a minor edge of the jacket, and at least one channel along a major edge. An armor layer is applied about the jacket.

A molded cable comprises a conductor, an insulation inner layer, an insulation outer layer, and a resin molded body. The insulation inner layer comprises a crosslinked ethylene resin composition and is provided an outer circumference of the conductor. The insulation outer layer comprises a crosslinked thermoplastic polyurethane composition and is provided on an outer circumference of the insulation inner layer. Arithmetic average roughness (Ra) of a surface of the insulation outer layer is 5 μm to 100 μm. The resin molded body coats an exposed end portion of the conductor and an end portion of the insulation outer layer at a side of the exposed end portion of the conductor. The resin molded body is fused to the insulation outer layer.

Contacting method and system

One aspect is a system for reception or emission of an electrical signal from or into the human or animal body, comprising at least one insulated electrical conductor; a sleeve-shaped electrode that is electrically connected to the electrical conductor and includes an internal side, an external side, and a channel, wherein the channel defines a longitudinal axis along which the conductor is arranged. According to one embodiment, the conductor extends without interruption along the entire area of the electrode, and the electrode further includes a slit that extends from the internal side to the external side of the electrode and in which the conductor is appropriately arranged in the slit such that the electrode forms a direct durable mechanical and electrical connection to the conductor.

METHOD OF MANUFACTURING ELECTRICAL CABLE, AND RESULTING PRODUCT, WITH REDUCED REQUIRED INSTALLATION PULLING FORCE

Disclosed are cable types, including a type THHN cable, the cable types having a reduced surface coefficient of friction, and the method of manufacture thereof, in which the central conductor core and insulating layer are surrounded by a material containing nylon or thermosetting resin. A silicone based pulling lubricant for said cable, or alternatively, erucamide or stearyl erucamide for small cable gauge wire, is incorporated, by alternate methods, with the resin material from which the outer sheath is extruded, and is effective to reduce the required pulling force between the formed cable and a conduit during installation.
