A stretchable conductor includes a substrate with a first major surface, wherein the substrate is an elastomeric material. An elongate wire is on the first major surface of the substrate; the wire includes a first end and a second end, and further includes at least one arcuate region between the first end and the second end. At least one portion of the arcuate region of the wire in the region has a first surface area portion embedded in the surface of the substrate and a second surface area portion unembedded on the substrate and exposed in an amount sufficient to render at least an area of the substrate in the region electrically conductive. The unembedded second surface portion of the arcuate region may lie above or below a plane of the substrate. Composite articles including a stretchable conductor in durable electrical contact with a conductive fabric are also disclosed.

According to an example embodiment, an arrangement is provided, the arrangement including a mobile communication device including a terminal device for wireless communication with one or more other devices via a communication channel, and a fire retardant sleeve having a shape and size that enable accommodating the mobile communication device therein, wherein at least part of the mobile communication device is enclosed within the fire retardant sleeve.

A variable-length conductor assembly is configured for use within an IT component. The variable-length conductor assembly includes a bus bar assembly including at least one bus bar conductor. A sled assembly is configured to be longitudinal-displaceable along the bus bar assembly. The sled assembly includes at least one sled conductor slidably electrically-coupled to the at least one bus bar conductor.

A variable-length conductor assembly is configured for use within an IT component. The variable-length conductor assembly includes a bus bar assembly including at least one bus bar conductor. A sled assembly is configured to be longitudinal-displaceable along the bus bar assembly. The sled assembly includes at least one sled conductor slidably electrically-coupled to the at least one bus bar conductor.

A spool apparatus is described to include in one particular example a cable spool with a first cylindrical lip and a second cylindrical lip on an opposite side of the cable spool. A center of the spool includes a clutch bearing in the center of both the first cylindrical lip and the second cylindrical lip that provides a rotational axis for the cable spool to rotate around. The apparatus may also include a feed slot near the first cylindrical lip that provides a passage for cable to pass from the second cylindrical lip to the first cylindrical lip.

A spool apparatus is described to include in one particular example a cable spool with a first cylindrical lip and a second cylindrical lip on an opposite side of the cable spool. A center of the spool includes a clutch bearing in the center of both the first cylindrical lip and the second cylindrical lip that provides a rotational axis for the cable spool to rotate around.
